Off-Topic Discussion / Re: Eurovision Song Contest 2015« on: May 24, 2015, 03:56:14 AM »
Came up with a couple of jokes last night to do with it:
I. Any countries bordering Russia that didn't vote them are probably being invaded as we speak. II. My family had the idea of letting the rest of the world vote instead of the European countries to make it much more balanced... ... In all honesty though, I expected that we'd do MUCH better. I'm still gob-smacked after France didn't give us any points since electro-swing is quite big over there. 444

So, I just came back from another recording of the heavyweight fights for Series 1 after I was told by Robo that the footage had messed up.
Let's just put this out here to make sure everyone understands. 1. The bots in this heavyweight recordings were generally upgrades of previous robots and therefore, a lot of second versions are in this. 2. I won the first recording. 3. This is the last restart of ANY future Garry's Wars. You'll understand my hatred when the video is released. 450

I'm a bit split on this one...
I like it, especially the Union Jack on it. (UKIP approved) The wheels are a bit off-putting though. There's something about them... 451

In order to keep this afloat. I will be posting all my new bots that I create, just to show the guys that don't have Garry's Mod.
Robo and I also discussed in a recent meeting about video tutorials. I can now confirm that these will be coming after Series 1 has been published. Robo will do tutorials on how to make the average bot and move on to flippers. I will be showing different types of weapons and how to drive a bot effectively. (Though driving a bot may sound simple, to drive it effectively is a different matter) As an update for Series 2, I believe that proper planning needs to be in place to grow the hype so that we get more entrants, not just from GTM. This means it will take longer but it'll be worth the wait. 455
Existing Games / Re: Garry's Wars : Series 1.5 Heavyweights« on: April 20, 2015, 05:32:45 AM »The wheel tool is being annoying and not working. I put them on what I want them to be and they don't turn. Message one of us on Steam and we'll come and help you if we can. I should try to join this. I have Garry's mod, but I don't have some of the games that it requires, so most of the stuff in GMod is just giant red "ERROR"s. I recommend buying keys from sites like G2A. They're much cheaper than Steam. (If they aren't in a sale of course) Awesome work on the Video. I hope we could make a 128-bot or 96-bot tournament eventually, where everyone can build multiple robots. Thankyou for mentioning me in the credits. You guys rock! <3 A meeting shall be called with myself, KOS and Robo. We'll discuss how we'll make this bigger and assign roles to make this as effective as possible. This is pretty cool! The heavyweights are more interesting :3 Gotta make myself a heavy. Like I said, come on the server if you need help. You should probably change the video's thumbnail because right now, it's spoiling the bots going in the semis and who just lost their battle. Also next time, could you at least clarify somewhere who made what bot and what bot is which please? We have a good thumbnail that will be used for future videos. We'll make sure that the thumbnail is placed on this and the future ones asap. If you recall from Series 3/4 of Robot Wars, there was a Stats page for each robot. This will be added in Series 2. This will mean that it'll take more time to edit however the finish product will be much better. You should. In fact, I may do some giveaways of Garry's Mod if I have any money laying around. 456

So I know it's already gone but I just had to say, good job guys for putting on an awesome show if you were at Gadget Show Live this weekend.
I recognised and saw: Jarvis and Flow Featherweight Behemoth Featherweight Dystopia (I think) I've also got some pictures to show so I'll upload them when they're ready. 458

Well damn. I almost feel like there's actually too much editing for me to actually take it seriously... For instance, I couldn't help but snigger when there was a replay of a flip. But it's still vastly superior to what I've created and it's still amazing. 460

I have to agree with the others. There's something about it which is pleasing. I think it's due to the mix of Berserk and Steg-O-Saw-Us.
The skin is beautiful. Can I have an HD download? <3 |
