BBEANS mk1,
BBEANS mk2 RA2 Tourney Onslaught Arena Small Arena (When I have a really destructive HW Horizontal or Sheck Spinner :P) However, why do the robots just drive down the pit in the onslaught arena 50 percent of the time & would it not be better if you could have 4 robots in it? 4383

Could you not fit the blue control board inside somehow?

The shell spinner doesn't look bad at all, but the chasis can be made much smaller. Just because its a shell spinner, it doesn't mean that the chasis has to be round. By making it recangular, you could save a lot of weight.
How many ants does it have? It needs atleast 3 & would be much better with four or five. 4386

MW - Enough weight to be creative but not so much that you are left with 50kg left over

DSL TC Showcases / Re: Vertigo's DSL Showcase!« on: June 11, 2010, 11:53:49 AM »First would be better with less armor, large JXs and maybe weapons. This robot isn't designed to do damage, & the flippers are powerful enough already. If I used large JX's, I would need more ants & a higher chasis, resulting in less chasis armour, & bad drive. GENERIC NAMES ARE GENERIC LOLWhiplash had about 15kg left over & it couldn't quite reach titanium 3, I couldn't find any other way to use the weight, I would gladly remove it if I needed the weight. Bulldozer wasn't designed to do damage Really? It barely beat 360 arc pounderHate SNS! So boring! 4388

New bots:
![]() ![]() Bulldozer 2, 20 ant batts, metal hinge wedges, npcfasts with hypnos, plastic 5. Really good wedges & much more flipping power than the original. ![]() ![]() Whirlpool, 2 ants, plastic 5. My first ever SNS so I ealise that this isn't the best (but I hope not a ![]() Hate SNS! So boring! ![]() ![]() Whiplash v8.0 (previous version posted as Scraper v7.0 (urgh, horrible name) which was entered in TTT, page 2 I think) npc fasts with hypnos, plastic 5, 6ants, this time metal hinge wedges!, 2 bsgs much better than the original (still hope that it does OK in TTT though :P) wish that I made this before entries closed ![]() 4390

DSL TC Showcases / Re: JoystickHero's Rockin' Showcase!« on: June 06, 2010, 08:32:50 AM »I'd use a dual mag & two 60kg hammers (as I have done on quite a few MWs)For the MW, Downgrade to tite 3 or plastic 5, change weapon motor to a dual mag and use 30 kg hammers.I have a MW that has a 4 mag gearbox, NPC fasts, plastic 3mm and 2 50 kg hammers. By doing this you could make the chassis smaller, (about 4X2 squares on the grid) & add stabilisers (which is always good on a spinner although you could probably only get away with only flipper segments) Your weapons would have alot more hitpoints, & would cause more damage. This is just my oppinion however, & many other people would rather have a 4-mag & 2 30kg hammers, this would make it more destructive, but the hammers would fall off alot quicker. 4393
DSL TC Showcases / Re: Vertigo's DSL Showcase!« on: June 01, 2010, 07:03:09 AM »You might want to flip your plows over so it does better at trapping.I'll try that but then it would be easier for other bots to get underneath it. That's an awesome bot, the only thing I would worry about is poor hammer acceleration with all that weight on the arm.It isn't really, but with 2 70kg hammers, as long as it hits the other bot with a reasonable swing then it doesn't really matter. It's a Beta geared, hence a spin motor, hence the bot only really needs 5 ants. I'll change battery setup then. 4394
DSL TC Showcases / Re: Vertigo's DSL Showcase!« on: May 30, 2010, 10:58:44 AM »Robots atack the front not the backYes, but when I swing the hammer backwards it would tip over backwards. I would use Tite sheets for that.I'll try that on my next version. 4395

Auto Destruction 2:
![]() ![]() Titanium 5 still, now 4 battlepacks, much more stable & thus, much more destructive! However, not as much armour, no tite sheets on baseplate & no wedge! I'm liking this showcase...Thanks! 4398
DSL TC Showcases / Re: Vertigo's DSL Showcase!« on: May 30, 2010, 08:40:55 AM »You are reaching the level of the original Vertigo. Is that good or bad? I'm guessing good! :P Sacrifice some rear armor so you can get metal hinge wedges in there (hopefully they won't AGOD). To get rid of the flippy thing, and some stabilizers to the front (take a look at Undeadbeat in NAR AI, though that may be a poor example since it doesn't have a rear stabilizer as well XD).OK, I'll try that. 4399
DSL TC Showcases / Re: Vertigo's DSL Showcase!« on: May 30, 2010, 04:45:27 AM »That looks spectacular. ^That's what I thought as well.^It tends to be spectacular in 2 ways: 1) When it works it deals spectacular damage. 2) When it doesn't it tends to fling itself all over the arena in a spectacular way. 4400

While I'm stillmaking an update of that bot I thought that I may aswell post another one:
![]() ![]() ![]() Auto Destruction: Titanium 5, 798.?kg, 2 battlepacks, 2 ants, one geared beta motor driving 2 70kg hammers, lots of armour, 2 tite sheets underneath, npc fasts with hypno's. It deals good damage when stable & well underneath another bot, but because there is 140kg on the end of the axe, unless it is underneath another bot it just flips itself over. Can self-right itself, but takes a while. ![]() |
