No, no, no, don't use Legendaries, that takes all the fun out of it. =D
Dark, Bug and Fighting seem to work well. I suspect some of them may be Ghost as well, so either have a decent Bug-Type, or quite a high-level Special Attack pokemon. Ghost, Immune to Normal attacks, but weak to Ghost-Types as well. Avoid Psychic and Fighting-types. Ice, the obvious tactic would be fire, and lots of it, but Fighting works equally well. Steel and Rock are also good, though avoid Flying and Grass. Dragon, strangely weak against Dragon-type Attacks, so I would go for Ice-types.
You obviously know little of the competitive battling enviroment, jirachi and suicine are ranked as Over used while most other legendaries are ranked as ubers And when it comes to types just have a healthy mix. Some like fire are very weak, and some like dragon are overpowered, but most of them are fairly even, having atleast 1 decent pokemon per type. It's more about the individual pokemons stats.

And I forgot Screamo. It's a style relying prominently on vocals and fast thrashy guitars. However it mixes punk pop elements too and is usually categorized as emo.
Yeah, screamo sucks. And a title change is probably best as the topics more about metal in general now. Also reading this thread makes me want to write more songs

I think he wants lifters...
So do I, I wanted to make a Havok bot have a lifter.
Exactly! I'll download nar AI in a bit and see what they're like, although if they do work as lifters, I have to change panic attacks weapon motor in dsl.

Or you come to germany. We don`t have spinners banned :P
This is another reason why Robot Wars should be back on telly.

Speed has nothing to do with the strength, it's the torque you want to be worried about, I think. Some of the servos in NAR AI have upwards of 5000 torques, compared to 40 for a half-decent drive motor.
Really? CAn they opperate well as lifters then?

I was explaining how the South of England can be both posh and chavs at the same time.
The whole country's mostly chavs now, Labour FTW!
Labour? LABOUR??? What kind of a world do we live in if a party who ran the Empire into the ground and reduced Britain to the laughing stock of Western Europe is still supported? Still, better than the SNP, I'll give you that.
Sarcasm detector failed there me thinks.

You can only use spinners at robochallenge events, which only occur at a maximum of 2 times a year Honestly, the only simple, effective design is a pusher
Grr, I thought there was some kind of rule against them from looking at live videos Anyway, thanks, i'll see what the others say later.

To be honest, It's true.
http://img406.imageshack.us/i/11722112339463nd5lm0.png/ Now imagine Jonzu fapping.
So you are a closet faggot as well ?
Well we don't know for sure that jonzu is a guy do we?
Yeah, I tend to call it GET A LIFE...or at least a girlfriend.
LOL i've edited my post and now yours looks rather strange I changed it because I realised Nar was aiming his petrol gun of insults at GF, not jonzu. Now will, the petrol light into a flame war, only time will tell.

Owned by Electric and Ice-types. =P Which are fairly common, I find. It's better to have a wide range of types to have an advantage over everything, rather than having one where you're stuffed. Grass should be there, probably, because later on, you may encounter Quagsire quite often. God, those things are annoying.
Also gyrados is weak to ice so you have a lot of ice weknesses there.
Strong pokemon are: Gengar, dragonite, aerodactyl, tyranitar, Alakazam, porygon z and scizor to name a few.
Aerodactyl is cool, as gengar and dragonite, but alakazam just gets raped by anything physical.
Yeah, it's a very good special sweeper though, especially as it's ranked as Under Used. Besides, I always just use sweepers with maybe one jirachi or suicine or something like that.

Has anyone ever made one of these? If so, do they then just turn into normal motors due to the speed?
Basically, i want to know if you can mod a servo so it can act as a proper lifter or crusher (like panic attacks lifting spikes or razers crusher, fully controllable but strong enough to be effective).

Musical taste: Anything that is good. No, tHrash and heavy metal don't fall into this catergory
So progressive metal then

If you live in England, we don't use lightweights, you would probably want to make a featherweight Pneumatic spikes are useless, would be better just to make asimple 4WD pushbot Oh, and use HDPE if you want to make something simple, its great and really easy to use
Oh thanks for the advice. And we're gonna change the design to incorporate a better weapon (i really don't want to make a pushbot, and I think the spike idea was tooo optimistic ) I'd love to make an invertible drum, but i'm not sure about the others, do you think an invertible drum would be a decent idea?

Industrial music (FRANK KLEPACKI <333) is awesome, but can that even be considered a subgenre of metal ? I'll consider it as somewhat of an hybrid between metal and electronic music, but NOT metal.
Industrial is a genre within itself, depending on the band it can vary from rock roots to death metal roots. Still, I do like some industrial, only listened to a few albums by various artists though so wouldn't say i'm a proper fan yet. TECHNICAL METAL FTW!
They seems immature because their lyrics can't go anywhere else. Unless the majority are creative with their lyrics like Meshuggah, they can't sing about robot unicorns and being gangsta.
Also, no one mentioned groove, avant-garde and industrial.
Groove's quite good, never heard any avant-garde though And yeah, a lot of death metal is about the image more than the music, they go past the point of being heavy with a purpose IMO. Still I do like opeth, and the genre itself as a whole isn't too bad compared to others.

Do gut-ripping pokers even work IRL ?
Don't know, that's why we wanted to try it. I imagine if you had enough power it would, or atleast flip the other robot over. We may need a redesign anyway, Don't really want to build a rammer for various reasons.
