Sorry, lads, but gonna have to ask this:
Any of you lot got Final Fantasy XIII-2?
Yep.
Is the battling less tedious than XIII? Because at the moment, I'm just mashing auto-battle until the vibration stops whenever I get into a battle, including right at this moment. The only exception to this is boss battles and exceptionally powerful enemies (e.g. the King Behemoth).
It's the same battle system, but i wouldn't call it 'tedious'. However, due to the non-linear nature of the explorable universe, after a point enemies in earlier points become too easy, and you can just set your active paradigm to 'Cerberus'. Plus, when you have a Tonberry on your team, any enemy becomes easy.
I suppose that it is the fact that it wasn't open near the start that has been killing it for me...then again, every one of my characters has two roles that they are level 4 on, and even then, I just use Lightning, Snow, and Hope, (unless forced to do otherwise), and Diversity as the active paradigm means that I have to pay very little attention to anything that is going on (hell, sometimes, I just change it to Tri-Disaster at the start of the battle). I'm not sure what it is about it, but it is kind of boring to be able to mash auto-battle until it dies (or until it staggers, then change to Tri-Disaster or Relentless Assault). XIII-2 does look interesting (I have played the demo, and it looks rather good from that little post-demo thing that shows you other parts of the game), it does seem that the quick time events will make it a bit meh, but I think that I may play it for the story...as long as Vanille isn't the narrator again (her voice is very grating for some reason). Also, is it just me, or are Eidolons a little bit useless (other than fully healing your party when they are gone, they don't seem to do too much), and I think they buggered up by not letting you summon the Eidolon of any character in your current party...as well as by making it so that when the leader dies, it's game over (I know that it isn't like that in XIII-2, and that you just switch the leader instead of being forced to retry, but it can be very irksome when everyone else is on full health, Lightning gets OHKOd, and suddenly the others just give up...then again, it makes no sense that they are on zero health, the battle ends, and suddenly they just stand up as if nothing was wrong at all). I plan on getting XIII-2 if it is cheap enough (or maybe if I can find another game I want on one of the multi-buys (such as Zavvi's 2 for £25)).

Well, that was predictable, and I shall never conform to 'use shiny hubs because they are the best' ever again. I knew my bot had a fatal flaw that hindered invertibility, and I knew that it was down to the fact that the discs were too big (despite being the smallest size they could be) and the shiny hubs didn't give enough ground clearance, and I knew that I should've had bigger wheels, but I decided to go with the advice that is always given, and it failed me. Oh well, it was to be expected, I suppose.

For some reason, pretty much everything here reminds me of Naryar
Or maybe it's just Naryar's camp cousin

Doesn't work.
Hmm...other than making sure that you ran it from the same thing you added to the DEP/changed compatibility mode of (i.e. if you changed the one in the main folder and then ran it from the desktop shortcut, it may not work (total guess there, I made sure to add both to the DEP just in case)), I can't really suggest much else, and I'm pretty sure I don't have the game lying around anywhere, so I can't muck around to try and get it to work...only other possible suggestion I can think of is taking it out of program files if it's there (apparently, Windows 7 can screw up some old games if they are in Program Files, not sure how, it was just a random suggestion I saw on the internet when I was trying to get Thief to work). As it goes, what error messages are appearing when you try to run it, or is it just a case of you try to load it, and then it suddenly doesn't respond and needs to close?

GOD DAMNIT, WINDOWS!
Colin McRae 05 + F1 Challenge 98-02 don't work on Windows 7
BF3, F1 2011 and a ton of other modern games don't run on Windows XP.

Try running in compatibility mode (right click on the .exe, properties, compatibility tab, tick 'run in compatibility mode for' and Windows XP should already be selected in the drop down). If that fails, keep compatibility stuff the same, and go Control Panel, System and Security, System, Advanced System Settings, on the advanced tab, click the settings at the top, then click on the Data Execution Prevention tab. If it is not selected already, click 'turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select:', then click Add, and find the .exe of the game you want to run, make sure the box is ticked, and click apply and okay, then try. This has worked for me with both Dungeon Keeper, and Thief: The Dark Project, and if I have been unclear in any way, just let me know.

SWEARING IN THE MAIN FORUM OMG NARYAR WARN HIM NAOW
Technically speaking, you would get a warn for quoting said swear, and I don't think that people get warned with using either of the synonyms for poo in the main forums...or at least I've only seen people get warned for the F-bomb, and I have seen many uses of what AS said, and the other word he could have used which means the same thing.

I think that there is a high chance of any bot that isn't mine going through, going through in King of the Hill was a big enough surprise as it is.

Far too much white for my taste. I prefer to clothe in darker colors.
It's not anything goth, really. Darker colors means darker morals.
Then I suppose you would choose that one then (well, it came from a fighting game, there was bound to be an alternate costume to fit other tastes, I always choose the black colour for each character).

As a random thought, I reckon that Naryar could be Hakumen.

Isn't there any way to reason with him? I mean, I rememebr him saying "It's too far to go to Scotland for a shag", and I'll be spending the money to come down to you, surely this is something he'd approve of more than you going to Scotland?
Trying to reason with Rob is like trying to tell Noodle that his insults do nothing; an absolutely pointless waste of time and energy. Maybe he'll just be indifferent, or something, but I don't hold out any hope.

Not that kind of coding. No, more programming in heart.dll
Error: heart.dll not found Error: brain.dll not found Would Falcon Punching the virus work?
It would work, but you have to be in exactly the right place before you can use that, otherwise you will get the voice of an old professor in your head that says 'Now is not the time to use that'

Why is it that most things of decent grandeur I try to do come crashing down in an ungodly manner due to things outwith my control?
Welcome to life.
I'm fairly successful in life when it comes to smaller things, but first my trip to PortCon, then my craft fayre, and now my holiday, have all gone completely kaput
Delete kaput.exe and whatever is in kaput's directory. Usually, that stops the problem all together.
...can I delete Rob.exe? He's actually my main problem with this one
Unfortunately, he is something that appears as a virus, but will not disappear regardless of whether you uninstall him, delete him, or use any antivirus to try to get rid of him. Fully re-installing may work, or restoring life to a version about 7 years ago and trying to do things differently.

Bought it at the reduced price, and I have been having quite a bit of fun (although framerate drops can be annoying when it causes you to pick up a grey (not that it happens all the time, it is usually me being a bit too early with changing lanes)). Maybe I will upload some videos later, but I will probably play terribly.

I see things are as delightful as always in this topic :>
Get run over.
Such a charming attitude, such lovely words of wisdom.. The real Noodle would be incredibly proud of you!
Kill yourself.
What charming advice! You are certainly the Love Incarnate!
Seriously though, you're going to have to try harder than that.
He is running out of ideas on how to troll people, so he is just repeating the same basic insults, things that may possibly be deemed offensive in some way, and making random statements about people's personality/mental health. I wouldn't be surprised if he started repetitively saying 'u mad' (or any variation thereof) in an attempt to piss people off (it is usually a last ditch attempt when nothing else is working).
It usually works though, that's the problem.
Noodle kind of succeeds in indirect trolling (i.e. insult person A, persons B and C get really pissed off about it), but when he tries to actually get to the person he is targeting, he fails massively. To be honest, I'm surprised that he hasn't pulled the 'you're in denial' card on anyone, that's usually a surefire way of getting to at least one person. To be honest, I don't find anything Noodle does to be annoying or amusing, it's really kind of boring now that he is stuck on loop with the various ways of saying 'go kill yourself' and the various basic insults. He is more boring than <enter suitable comparison here>.
