When was the last time someone made a gyro drill? I've really only heard of them in legend.

It's a trialbot for Pot Luck 2 in the event I need to determine who gets first round byes. Whoever beats him the fastest gets the byes. He's designed to be a bit rubbish, but with steel 5 he won't die instantly.
Also those aren't types, they're more philosophies. 423

I'd probably class them as hammers.

Here's the trialbot for Pot Luck 2. Also I'll start putting the weightclass on my splashes to avoid confusion.
![]() I'll give him a face later. 427

The forfeits won't be anything too crippling. It'll be things like having to use at least 2 crushing teeth on your popup. Or theming your vertical spinner around one of your fetishes.
Here's the trialbot you'll have to beat in the fastest time if I have to assign any byes. ![]() 428

Also for anyone who signed up last time, but failed to send a robot, you can still enter! But you'll have certain forfeit criteria to fulfill with your robots as well as your robot types. I'm looking at you, G.K., Ty4er, Badnik, Scorpion, Joeblo and Madman3. If anyone has any creative ideas please send them my way for this one.

*I've got my sh** together this one might actually happen I swear*
![]() Pot Luck 2 Building Rules -Ironforge HW. -Standard building rules apply. -The first 4 ballasts do no count towards your weight allowance. -Multibots not allowed. -No BFE/AAM/Voodoo allowed. -Trov Glitch is allowed. -I can AI if you really need me to, but i'd suggest doing it yourself if you can. I reserve the right to ask you to AI your own bot if I cannot AI it effectively. -No cheatbot2. -No narmour (If thats still possible in Ironforge I have no idea) -Recoloured components are allowed, however you can not make them invisible. -All robots must show controlled movement. Tournament Rules -16 bots, double elimination. -The tournament will be randomly seeded. -If byes are needed. Then the Trial of The Wealdstone Raider will determine who gets byes. -Bots get one free Havok restart per match, if they Havok again the robot is disqualified. -Arena will be the Keznorg IGC, hazards off. -Matches will be 3 minutes long. -I will not be entering. The Shtick -When signing up for Pot Luck 2, every entrant must declare a robot type to go in the "pot". This does not mean actually sending a robot of that type. You can choose the same robot type as someone else, however no one robot type can be nominated more than 3 times. Example: Quote MikeNCR: Hi, I'd like to enter and I choose Rammer You can only choose single robot types, that means no hybrids. You can also no be too specific. I.E. Rammer is fine. Flail Rammer is too specific. Shell Spinner is fine. Flail Shell Spinner is too specific. Horizontal Spinner is fine. Complex Horizontal Spinner too specific. etc I reserve the right to refuse any given robot type. Gyro Drills, Crawlers, SnS and Trinity bots are banned. -When every entrant has sent in a robot type, I will shuffle them and then redistribute them. You will have a month to actually build a robot of that type. Be warned there is always a chance you may end up with the robot type that you sent in. -Anyone who fails to sign up in time may join the "Backup Brigade". In the event anyone in the main bracket does not send in a robot in time, a member of the backup brigade will have an extra week on top of the deadline to make a robot of that type. Backup Brigade members do not get a robot declaration. This is a good one if you like being a good Samaritan. You can signup for the backup brigade at any time during the month of building. Assignment of robots to the Backup Brigade works on first come first serve. So no making deals with entrants to take over their robots please. But, before you enter. Think to yourself. "Do I have the time to build any robot type the GTM community could throw at me? If I get hampered with a bad robot type, am I willing to enter it anyway? Would I not moan to high heaven if I got a bad robot type? If something happens which means I can’t send a robot in, will I tell the host?” Please go through this mental checklist before entering. I think I covered everything above. Comments? Did people like it the first time? Only real changes from the first tournament are the change of mod, removal of the multibot wildcard rule and removal of arena choice as I like the Keznorg IGC. Signups: 090901-Vertical Spinner (Blame Tashic) Geice-Clamp (Blame Ty4er) G.K.-Chicken Drill (Blame Thackerzod) (Must have an odd number of wheels) Helloface-Hammer (Blame Redace) Kossokei-Vertical Trapper (Blame 090901) Kurt-Side Hammer (Blame Mystic2000) MassimoV-Flying Guillotine (Blame Squirrel Monkey) Mr. AS-Face Spinner (Blame G.K.) You could bring the chassis in a fair bit, bring the front set of wheels in line with the back and saving weight. Personally i'd try going for 2 blackbirds anyway instead of 4 slims, but that's just me.
