Okay, I think we've figure out the problems with the weight.  His perm motor weighs in at 10 kg on his installation.  Is there somewhere a list of the components with their official weights so he can check against it to see what's right and what's wrong?

Also, why don't we have a port of Q*Bert in the arcade?

Because I don't need yet another reason to shirk my responsibilities and spend hours playing a game i spent way too much money on in the 80s

He's sent me a new bot now having the same weight issue.  This one weighs in at 638.8 and saying it's a middleweight.  I've sent him a list of all the components he's using on the bot and the weight they should be so he can double check it.

Just for sake of Occam's Razor, here's the weights as they show on my game

Perm 132 S -- 90
cleprechaun blade  --35
taz wheels --19
titanium sheet --30
multi extender (extra small) --3
T connector --5
BSG  --25
PC545  --25
Control board --4
multi extender (small) --6
Baseplate anchor --4

Yoda,
The bot file is compromised ....  I won't explain here what was done, but it was BFE-ed.

That's what i thought as well.  Wanted confirmation from someone who would be better at spotting it than I.  Thanks Madiaba.

freeziez, again, BFE not allowed in my tourney, states so in the rules.

He's gonna.  I'm just wanting to know theories about causes so I can be more knowledgable about it in the future.

I asked him if he did any Bot file editing and he said he doesn't know how.

What's really throwing me for a loop on it is the angling of the hammers.  in the original, they're all angled the same way, in the version i've got, one is still angled the original way, but the other two are turned in strange ways.

Also don't get why it says middleweight when the weight is 432.4.  Should be a heavy.  and if i take one of the hammers off and reattach it, it changes to heavyweight...

The lightweight is...quite bizarre. lol.  Had quite a 'what the heck?" moment when i saw him.  update will be accepted if you wish.  If not, i'm kinda curious to see what it'll do.

EDIT:  Ahhh, I see now.  Interesting strategy.

I don't know if he's done any modding on his install or not.  And all my BFE playing takes place in my other install as well.  My first thought was that he had done some BFE to the bot, but he says he doesn't even know what that is.

His other two bots were no problem, just this one is causing the problems.  May be a moot point, as he said he's gonna go ahead and send a different bot.  But it got me wondering.

Anyways, I need some sleep, so i'll do some more investigating later.  Thanks for your help

Not in the folder i'm copying this into.  I have a completely separate installation for playing around with that stuff.

So, this is the bot that I received, Ignore the text on the pic.

Continuation: Rust in More Pieces would give you CRIMP.  But that's not nearly as much fun as Rimp

OK. I uploaded my bots under "Freeziez's Survival of the Fittest Entry" in the File Hoster, but what do I do next?

It should've given you a link, just send that in a pm
