A very important factor in the spin speed of an SnSnS is how stable it is.

Cyclocosmia has those two polycarb sheets, which are just the right height with the wheels (which are barely touching the ground also) that it is completely stable, so it spins much faster. Because there is no wobble in the spinning, nothing disturbs the buildup of speed.

I would recommend your COTT UHW to be the UHW but you can take your pick of any of the COTT entries.

Hinge wedges are generally better, but well tuned burst wedges can be comparable if not better.

What component is that long one? for the wedge. My best guess is Thermidor's wedge.

Very true.

RA2 is funky with its batteries. Spin motors only ever need 1 ant battery to fully power them, but burst motors do need full amperage.

Torreya isn't entirely reused. It's an update of my old Nar AI LW rammer that can't really beat anything. But this one can. And Cyclocosmia/Shoop/SnSnS 11.5 is my best MW, and is extremely well proven in tournaments. It also will allow Torreya to operate on its own without possible being killed by Cyclocosmia, and hopefully Torreya will allow Cyclocosmia to only have to deal with one other bot at a time.

Also, I didn't have time to build some completely new bots. :P

I hate seeing "intentionally bad DSL" pass for "IRL"

Clickbeetle's Hide & Seek.

Clash of the Titans champions, and were AIed to hide under the spinner in the arena center.

And maybe EFIE (Epic Flying is Epic) series for being the first UHW flipper? Idk your call

Very good for an IRL style robot (realistic style rather than max efficiency of the weapons). Flipper segments won't get under much, and people generally avoid metal hinge wedges for IRL style building. Try to get some kind of sheet (the plastic, aluminum, titanium, or steel sheets) as a wedge piece at the bottom to get under robots, or you could use the small black wedge (in the extras tab), which is good for getting under things as well.

Build to weight limits

Fill empty space so you don't waste weight

Piglets are very bad for drive. Very little torque makes a very slow bot. Good drive motors for heavyweights are NPC-t64 fast motors and Drive E-Teks (the ones with the large gearboxes).

The green burst motors are essentially the same as the Mag Snappers, but weigh a lot less. Use those instead, although I have always been partial to the Mag Snappers' "pshhhh" noise.

Those thin black batteries weigh a lot compare to how little power they provide, so you should try other batteries. The way DSL works for batteries is that you only need one ant battery per spin motor (no matter what motor it is) but the burst motors need the full amps that you are told to give them.

There is plenty more to tell you, but I'm tryin not to overwhelm you more than I already probably have.

Welcome to the forums!
