Apart from what those guys said, you might want to use a 6kg Master Hexplate rather than those 2 DSL Bars, to save some weight for MOAR RAZORS :P Anyhoo, welcome back! I remember you leaving just as I was lurking/joining >.<
I can't seem to find this 6kg hexplate that can attach to the axle :S

Hey guys, first new bot after re-taking up RA2. Here's my crude attempt at a LW: Weaponry is a bit brittle, the wedges etc seem to hold up well in battle and it havocs a bit too often i think. Also Titanium 3 mm. Feedback would be great, cheers, DF.

Open CutVersion C: i had to down grade the drive to compensate for the additional weight of the new wheel guards. Unborn Strike 1mm plastic, not the best to be honest; doesn't look that good, and it does jump about for a bit...but it is my first ever antweight - give a guy a break...

the one attachment point that is pushed in farther makes it really hard to put them symmetrically in the chassis without taking forever to do so. it you could just push out the one AP so it's equal to the other then that would be great. you can't really use a different extender cause they don't attach to the chassis. i think the multi extender is good because it has its attachment points like that, it can be a pain to twist it around exactly right on the other side to make it symmetrical, or 90 degrees for the front/back, but i like it.

After my exceedingly unsuccessful bots in DSL tournaments I've entered, i'd thought I'd start up a showcase to get some valuable advice. Don't expect many bots here as I'm busy with school, and also Robot Rampage. Open Cutversion A: titanium 1mm chassis armor. version B: Constructive criticism welcomed and please post your thoughts on which one is better. Thanks, DragonFire

you need to change their direction in the AI bindings.py - changing it in the workshop doesn't effect it's orientation: list.append(("M.O.E.","DirectionalSpinner",{'invertible':True,'nose':math.pi,'range':99,'radius':.5,'turn':30,'turnspeed':2.5,'weapons':(12,13,25,26,27,28,29,30)})) here, i am using the example of DSL M.O.E. The specific code to orientate M.O.E. 180° is in red. For more guidance on this, read the section from Starcore's AI tutorial: https://gametechmods.com/RA2wiki/index.php?title=How_to_AI_your_bot#Fixing_orientation

is there a way to make an 'or'? i.e. if either of the weapons break switch tactics?

this may have already been answered and i am sorry to ask this if it has, but what does the 'weapons' entry mean in the bindings.py?

hav you checked the teams text file? you need to make sure that the bindings and the teams files 'agree', so you need to enter the same number of bots and teams that are in the bindings.

this is not really a serious tournament, it is more of an entertainment show. And yes, it could be seen as cheating, but only a minor change in my view is alright for this series, and only for one bot (i hope). Sorry guys.
Update: Series 1 Splash Completed; check first post.

Bot editing to an extent is fine; not drastic modifications(e.g. making a 700kg bot a middleweight, etc.) but a little tweak is fine Naryar.

Perfect Naryar, everything is running smoothly so far. NEW entries are now closed; though updates and resends are fine.

still waiting for that one and final bot! I also have reskinned the BBEANS arena again. there will be 48 bots in total, so the format will be: Round 1 - 16 bouts of 3 bots Round 2 - 16 bouts of 2 Round 3 - 8 bouts of 2 Final - Riot Round of 4
Also along side, there will be support fights, in case the Robot Rampage battles aren't enough!
