Slow your roll there andrew, of all the things to be weary about BB, that should be pretty low on your list. Just because it's owned by Disney doesn't mean it has to be a kid friendly movie with pricesses and singing. They also show Nascar and boxing on the weekends.

You blade spinner is going to suffer due to the nature of the game; a robot gets KO'd if its chassis gets scraped enough times, so a box with a spike could take that out. It needs some components to protect it in front.

Oh gosh I hope not. But this is the channel that makes its living predominantly off of lightearted shows with eye candy for middle aged women. We'll have to see whether they try to pull their Agents of SHIELD crowd, or their Grey's Anatomy crowd.

I don't really care about finding out about how they felt when the robot hit the other robot, I can formulate a good guess on my own. Also any of teams with snot nosed children on camera are instantly my least favorites.

I'm kind of disappointed at the number of resuscitated robots. Bots like Nightmare and Little Sister are fairly out of date, unless they're being modernized like Warhead.
Nightmare is there for marketing purposes. This Battlebots event is a "proof of concept," to show the networks that a full revival is a profitable investment. Nightmare was the most recognizable robot from the original run, it's a robot that you can count on even the most casual fans to remember. Bringing that robot back is the best hype they can generate - people like us who know it doesn't stand a chance are in the minority. They'll take more risks after they get a contract.
