sh**. 16 gigs is ridiculous.
Also, MAKE SURE your bro has Windows 7 Home 64bit! if he gets the 32bit one, you can only use 3gb of those 16gb
4GB (= 32-bit address space). Also, with PAE you could use all 16. But it's hacky and there are no reasons to use 32-bit systems, anyway.

Your drive is partially fu cked. Use PhotoRec (free and all), which recovers these file format. Afterwards you can reformat the disk and use it again, but I wouldn't do so - it will probably crash again soon.

Yes, it works after a few fixes (mostly converting it to numpy).
And no, it's not a magic way to create a bot exchange - it's just a library to parse .gmf and .bot data.
