I've been using Windows 8 with RA2 since it was in alpha so I don't think that's the issue.
Also, RA2's screenshot mechanism hasn't changed since it was first released.
Are you using F11, Print Screen, or a separate program?

I'll go digging for it but I'm pretty sure it was just Dino Venger again so it is no longer an issue.

It should be fixed now.
Thanks for letting me know.

Can you be a little more specific? I can't really go blindly looking for something unless I have an idea of what I am looking for.
When you say Google warned you, do you mean that screen that pops up when you are using Google Chrome and you are trying to access malicious content? Google has a list of a sites that are known to contain malware and Chrome will warn you if you are attempting to access one of them. All the pages that Dino Venger posted in would have caused this warning to popup until around the time of my last post (its fixed now).
What were you doing and where were you going?
GTM doesn't have any malware and Google doesn't have us on the list of known malware sites. Otherwise, Google Chrome would warn you every time you accessed the site (I'm pretty sure IE, Opera, Safari, and Firefox have something similar but I haven't seen them before).

Actually, he was right. Dino Venger used an image that was previously being hosted at RFSHQ. The cleanup that I performed yesterday missed it because he used it in his signature and I only cleaned up the posts. That said, it should be fixed now and I'll take this opportunity to fix all the other RFSHQ links in people's signatures.

Runtime error or failed to respond message? -RA2 tends to stop communicating with the OS when dialog boxes are open (the settings and controls popups are notoriously problematic). Runtime errors can be caused by a number of things but they are almost always fixable. Sometimes, replacing the EXE with a new copy fixes things but, if it doesn't, please provide us with the answers to the following questions.
Are you doing anything specific when it crashes? -The botlab is one of the most complicated aspects of RA2 so providing more details will help us diagnose any issues that you may be having.
Do you have any mods installed? -Since you said it crashed in the botlab, I only care about the mods that alter the GIBs, components, or max sphere. I don't recall any of these being able to crash the game but its still a possibility. If you are including the practice arena under the botlab umbrella and the issue occurs before/after/while it is loaded up, it would very helpful to know if the practice arena has been modded.
Did you do any bot file editing? -You probably would have said it crashed when you went into the botlab or garage if this was your issue but it doesn't hurt to ask.

I did a few things that I think should help with the 503 errors. If you see any, please let me know and I'll look into doing more.
In the process of reducing the server load, I also made the forum slightly faster. The accumulation of all my changes may even be noticeable for some of you.
Tomorrow or later tonight, I'll look into fixing that ridiculously irritating formatting that SMF likes to insert into posts when the formatted view is enabled.

That's okay. The information that it gives you for the 503 errors is not unique to your session. That is to say, I already know the server load is excessively high and what you were doing doesn't really matter much for them. I'll continue to work on it, though.
I did notice, however, that switching to the low-bandwidth version made a huge difference in the number of 503 errors being handed out. I'll look into making SMF (a likely culprit) more efficient later today.

Yeah, that impacts our score. Where are you seeing these links?
Now that I think about it, I think RFSHQ would fall under this category now. I'll replace all the links to it now before I forget.

Since I'm not entirely sure what you mean, here are all the responses that I came up with. Virus can affect the server but that is Dreamhost's responsibility to clean up and prevent. They have a whole staff of people working to prevent things like that. In all the years that I have been coming here, I've never seen a virus slip by them. If a virus were to affect GTM than it would impact our SEO score and everyone else on our shared hosting server. We still might be recommended but it might be on page 1338 (not quite good enough for 1337). Virus can affect specific users but unless they upload it, it doesn't spread to anyone else. I review all the files that get added to GTM to ensure both quality and safety. I don't, however, have uploads being checked before they are made available to the general public (its a setting that I have turned off because people like to see their uploads immediately). Hackers can try to gain access to the server but I have been trying to close up holes in our security since taking over. Serge got by ACAMS once but he did so in a non-malicious way. We haven't had any other individuals break through. As a bit of a disclaimer, I am not challenging anyone to do so. People can get a virus and stay home sick but it shouldn't spread over the internet.

Naryar should know better and I'll talk to him about it. He is an excellent moderator and I would be very disappointed if I had to take some/all of his powers away.
Go ahead and hit the "Report to moderator" button or send me a PM whenever you see any member of the staff misbehaving. I am their supervisor and they are your supervisors. I am able to see everything they do from within the admin logs/reports and I also read through all the posts that get reported to moderators.
As HA said, search engines don't see playground. They are literally just programs that run on servers looking at GTM as if they were merely visiting guests. The primary goal of their AI is to determine how much value our site would have to people using their services. As such, they find keywords that allow themselves to categorize and rank us (quite a bit more complicated than it sounds). They wouldn't necessarily know that the Junkyard existed unless we got reported by a human.
Since playground is an opt-in option without any porn, I doubt search engines really care. Unlike word filters that leave behind things like f***, ****, or even @$$, it is not immediately obvious to our guests that the section exists and therefore isn't the search engine's problem.
I would eliminate Playground in a heartbeat if it became obviously detrimental to GTM's longevity (SEO score, guest-member retention, etc.). In fact, I might do it anyways just to re-establish a friendlier atmosphere.... but not right now...
The filter is currently only swapping out ~3 swear words for asterisk alternatives. It is hardly good coverage and I would appreciate it if none of you count on your word choices being filtered. Also, please don't assume that just because you used leet or you mashed things together that it is any better. In fact, I'm almost certain that using filtered words has a negative impact on our SEO score. That's why, I try to remove everything that I see that could potentially detract visitors from our site. Search engines, like Google, also spend more time on GTM than ANY of us do so they are much more likely to pick up on posts that contain foul language/imagery before they get cleaned up. That said, it is better to get rid of any/all of the foul language regardless of their age because even an old post can do damage to our SEO score.

503's are related to the server load and my custom error document for it probably wasn't helping matters (so we're using my low-bandwidth version now). If the problem persists let me know.
As for the 500 errors, please give me the information that the error document is giving you and explain what you are doing differently (if anything).

I had a chance to talk to the rest of the Wiki Staff so the instructions found here are accurate again. ATM, Scrap Daddy is the preferred person to contact if you want to create a new account (more details are available in the provided thread).

Re-downloading the smartzone won't change anything because if you were able to attach it than the file isn't corrupt. It is also worth noting that the EXE has the coding for detecting what is in the zone and the PY has the coding for how the bot should respond. There isn't really anything in the smartzone's files except the mesh and general characteristics (such as weight and component type).
Changing the PY won't change things either because they both use nearly identical coding for handling smartzones and triggers.
Could you upload it and send me the link via PM? I'm sure that I could diagnose and fix it in 5 minutes or less.

Poker.py requires the zone to be called "weapon" (no quotes) and the trigger to be called "Fire" (no quotes).
If you are already doing this, does your AIed bot follow you around the arena?

The problem is that you are not just affecting yourself. Everyone gets impacted by the actions of everyone else. That's why when someone uploads a big file, the forum seems to slow down.

Kurt is close but not quite right (or missing information) on some points. Step 2 - Do some file renaming. Go into Team0 folder. Swap the names of Bot0 and Bot3 around, Bot1 and Bot4 around, and Bot2 and Bot5 around. If you don't care about the weight classes of each bot than you can do this or use Madiaba's Batch Rotator 3 (does the same thing but its automated). If the weight class of your opponent matters than you will need to make sure that LWs get renamed to Bot0.bot, MWs get renamed to Bot1.bot, and HWs get renamed to Bot2.bot. Step 4 - In your AI folder there is a file named "Bindings" which is a PY file. If you open that you will see the scripting for each robot. Fortunately they are all separated into teams. Move the bottom three from each group to the top of the group. You don't need to do this. In fact, I would recommend not doing this just because it can only lead to more problems. Edit: Thanks for the correction playzooki.

Turning it off reduces the amount of load on the server and it allows for the server to cache things better. I was very hesitant to disable it but you guys keep telling me that you want GTM to run faster.

I've gotten a few 500 errors over the past couple days but, for the most part, it hasn't been too bad for me. Unfortunately, I've read numerous reports of other Dreamhost users having similar issues due to too many sites being hosted on their servers and a few performance comparisons basically stating the same thing. Even if I improved GTM's performance, the performance of the other sites on the server would still cause GTM to have 500 errors and slow speeds at times. That said, I'll continue trying to make GTM run faster (it is running at about half the time that it was taking before I made any changes but I've got a few more ideas of what else I can do).
On a side note, people that live in or around California have the fastest loading speeds just because the Dreamhost server is there. I've considered a method called load balancing in which the site utilizes numerous servers to reduce the distance that each visitor's request has to travel but most of the users are from the U.S. and wouldn't notice much of a difference (sorry to those that aren't).

Oops, I probably forgot to include a dependency. I'll fix that now...
Edit: I was previously missing goose.py but it should be working now.
