Anyone else watch the Malaysian F1 today? =D
I did, Renault Lotus and Lotus Renault are so different yet so similar...
NO!
There is the proud return of lotus, with the lotus renault team (a true collabaration between the actual lotus company and renault compay, both companys worked together on the car this year), complete with black and gold livery as a throwback to the excellent turbo JPS lotus's in the 1980's, driven by ayrton senna, and then there's malaysia GP, a small startup group based in malaysia who bought the rights to use the lotus racing name and have nothing to do with the great lotus team of old.
The sooner team malaysia GP get out of f1 the better, it irritates me greatly as a huge f1 fan that they are allowed to even pretend to be lotus GP!
As in, the names are confusing... The Malaysian GP team are called Lotus Renault sometimes due to their engine being a Renault whilst the Renault team are now called Lotus Renault due to their collaboration with Lotus!
