I'm Jewish, predominately Russian, approx. 1/8 Italian, and a touch of Mongolian.
On Tuesday, there's a Diversity Career Fair at my college. I've been growing a big, thick, curly beard so that everyone can see the diversity I bring just by looking.
Are you serious? I thought you were part Czech?
A small part. My ancestors come from many countries in Eastern Europe, but more Russia than anything else, so I didn't bother listing them all. I only said "Czech" in a "proposal for a World Championship" thread because Russia was taken, and there was no way I was getting in as the US entry ahead of all the other American builders on this forum.

Hunter and LP and Artemis are yours and Orrion and Mythras are Jack Orr's. Does Jonno play RA2?
Being a member of the FRA helps. :P
What's Orr's username on this forum?

FYI, Half of those are already in the Hall of Fame. I think he was responding to the thread topic
Don't know why I failed to connect the wires there. Sorry Larrain.

Razer, Storm II, M2, Warhead, Chaos 2, Son of Whyachi, Mechadon, and ermm...
Anticide
Missed a few, but don't want to make the list too long.
FYI, Half of those are already in the Hall of Fame. Also, Word of advice, the Joergers don't really like to talk about Robot Wars. I'm hoping to shed my label of "Robot Wars fanboy" by composing a ballot of modern and recent robots.

Here's one to consider for your 2011 Combat Robot Hall of Fame ballot. Its name is Anticide, it's an antweight with an immensely powerful flipper. Tell me you aren't amazed by this:

I will not join this. I give this space to people who build serious bots.
Do it anyway. It's the "serious" people's problem if they can't finish their bots in time.

The steel plow is a waste of weight, go with the normal one if you really think you need a snowplow at all

i guess i will end up destroyed after first round.
The good news is, we'll be in good company. It's the sad truth that half of us will get smoked in the first round. Me personally, I didn't have any room to add skirt protections, so a popup or flipper will probably do me in.

Sent. Not expecting something big, but hoping to make a dent :D
You and me both. I'm happy I just summoned up the courage to enter; I'm somewhat of a fish out of water in competitive building

What about that useless arm that pushed the robots. (series 3 i think)
Ah, you mean the Sentinel. It was basically the arm from a JCB digger with an enormous spike on the end. I hated it as an obstacle, as it could just sit its ass down in the middle of the track, and it was so big and heavy that no robot could do anything about it. It could even push the robots backwards if it so desired, but occasionally it would "miss" a robot and let it by. It would be just as practical to roll a die, they'd have the same amount of control over how far their robot went.

kay then. I might leave them regardless, as it loses its namesake with the flat panels.

I thought that a wider base would make it less suceptible to being flipped

I've changed my weapons because the Razors kept breaking in battle:

Nothing new, you guys probably killed this thing countless times by now. Unfortunately I wasn't able to make a better VS.
No flails? No shell spinner? Then you've got nothing to be ashamed of, my friend.

The Super Smash Bros. series. They take the best music from each game and have an orchestra play it.

I didn't read this thread before I got started, so I had no idea that my design was so unoriginal, but I submitted it anyways just to ensure I'd get something in on time. I call it Mutant Kabuto:

We aren't missing much, to be honest. Other than Black Hole and Tsunami, the matches weren't terribly exciting.
