Toe Crusher was the worst hammer ever. It's a torque-reaction hammer, but there's no delay between between the hammer firing and the robot moving backwards. It's virtually incapable of hitting an oppoent, even if the opponent is standing still. But what really gets my goat is that it was a sponsor-bot; Christian Carslberg got a big check from Wizards of the Coast to build his robots, and this is the best he could do?
Considering he created it back in '98 or '99 (and thus was before Wizards' sponsorship), I would say no. Of course, he could have made it better, but methinks that's exactly what he was wanting to do.
I'm more critical of the robots on "Battlebots" because the producers arbitrarily selected which matches and which robots got to be on TV (rather than doing something such as "everyone who makes it to the top 32 gets to be on TV")

There should be an "obscurity rule" in place; ie you can't pick mainstream/popular songs that would win easily. The point of the contest should be to introduce people to songs and bands they've probably not heard of before.

I was #4. I wonder how many BOTM contests I can enter with wheel-less robots?
Congratz to Joe; no shame in losing to the best (by which I mean you too, Sage)

Do you like "Dr. Horrible's Singalong Blog"? Of course you do. But what if it was an 8-bit game?

I have to say, I really thought you'd get pwned there, SM. Nice job, you've become the one to look out for.

If I ever make all of them (and there are over 500) then maybe, but using custom components has become my second nature, to the point where 9/10 of my new replicas are unsharable.

You mean the RA2ube video uploader? If I were to upload a video splash (within the legal size of course; I know how to get a video below 9 milllion terrabytes), would I need to PM you the link?

Just FYI, you've got the colours swapped on the lettering. "Shrapnel" should be in black, and "Danger" in red. Other than that, nice job.

I worked 36 hours with only 1 1/2 hrs sleep......it is fixed now. We didn't have 10 posts before some nut was telling what bot was theirs, next time we may have voting ONLY and no comments.
You may have to, because I still don't think they get it.
To be fair, GK did wait until the winner gained a momentous lead. I've never seen a BOTM where a straggler pulled ahead at the eleventh hour; once someone gains a significant lead, that's it, game over man.

Actually, VLC fixed the problem. Thanks Frezal. I don't mean to interrupt your conversation though, so carry on.

What's the policy on saying "yep you got me" if someone else figures out which bot is yours?

After reading the article again, it might be possible that the class misbehaved during that day only. But then again, he was stressed, which might mean that the class was misbehaving all the time.
But the problem still lies in the students. No one wanted to stop the kid from misbehaving. Instead, they picked up their phones and thought: "Hey, there's some good sh** happening here. Can't wait to upload it to YouTube." Only one pupil tried to get the teacher off the kid. Only one.
Remember the gang of teens who mentally abused a girl to suicide? And those batch of parents that gave some kid an address to a fake prom, while the rest of the students partied somewhere else? That's what those kids in the class are. Going along with whatever works, not giving a sh** whether it's right or wrong and just want to have fun. Those bastards should've seen it coming.
Hang on now, you can't blame the bystanders for not intervening. Peer pressure in that kind of situation is up to 11, believe me, I've been there and I can tell you that when a student tries to intervene, he becomes a source of ridicule.

Who I think everyone is:
1) Me 2) Gaeza2 (Or Pwn) 3) Joe 4) Badnik 5) Martymidget (Or NFX) 6) Nary, Doom or Click 7) Sage
I didn't enter, and I recognize 3 of Resetti's decals on #4. (Hard Cheese rat, Knightmare "Who needs a srimech" face, and the Axios face) It's also who I voted for.
I confess NOTHING Seriously though, nice job, I was wondering if anyone would notice the decals

Whenever I try to take a shapshot in Windows Media Player, I paste it into Paint and then it goes blank as soon as I close WMP. Also, if I try to drag the image around, the border moves but the picture itself stays in place. I've tried unticking the "overlay" box like the tutorials recommend, and I've tried the CTRL-I, but neither has worked.
Does anyone know anything else I could do?

Behind the wall....did you watch BBEANS5?
Not all of it. I just thought it would be completely uncovered and you could just push people into it. Good to know that's not the case.
