Well I can't do anything about the corrupt files except delete them.
If you are seeing 2 of the same parts with the same name then delete the Components.cfz in your main RA2 DSL folder.

I don't think there is any thing you can do. If you recently downloaded it legally then you should complain to whoever you got it from.
I am almost positive that DSL-TC will work in v1.0 if it gets down to you having to keep 1.0, but you may have to buy it from a good source if you want V1.2.

Open the game and go to credits and look in the top right corner and check version. If it says 1.2 then it is already patched. If it says 1.0 then put your CD in the tray and patch it to 1.2.....You MUST have the CD in to patch it.

That is not installing components...it is called skinning components.
As long as you leave it a .bmp and leave it the same size it should work and show up in the game.

If you want something to fall off real easy just use a poly extender. One bump and it is gone.

There only needs to be one showcase.......It needs to be used more often tho.
I am working on the smallest popwedge ever, but it is big by my standards ( I had to use 4 squares as the base) We may end up with a small ant weight wedge for v2.0, slightly smaller than the stock little black one.

It did it to me at home on win98 one time, then I realized I didn't install v1.0 first.
I deleted the folders and installed 1.0, then 1.2 and it worked.
