Oh, I forgot to mention the scoring will be on a scale as followed: 3 points for damage 3 points for aggression 3 points for control 1 point for strategy 1 point for entertainment value
Also, August 1st is WAY too far away so I tightened the deadline to Monday, June 17th.

Gonna make a cop bot for BB7
I already made one, too. Accept it is SWAT. Articulator, you're in trouble!

list.append(("Storm","Omni",{'nose':math.pi*2,'radius':0.1,'topspeed':100,'throttle':130,'turn':60,'turnspeed':2.5,'weapons':(4,)}))
Make sure the BUTTON that spins your weapon is a BUTTON named "Spin" (S is capitalized, no quotation marks). It needs to be a button. Cannot be a switch. It worked for me.

actually spike strips aren't that bad and have a nice shape... it's just that you should be careful of the normals.
Which is to say : spike strips only do damage with the pointy end and the serrated edge. I suppose you already know this via use of them though.
And because I have your "DSL Efficient Building" page bookmarked.

Maybe you should try razors then.
That was a long time ago. I don't have that bot anymore.

Weaponed flipper should be built out of iron spikes and large beaters in DSL2. Spike strips aren't too bad but... normals.
also, anyone who considers the cutting and ripping teeth good weapons is completely clueless. That is all.
I used it in one of my old bots, and it actually worked well. It would cause a lot of damage coupled with the spikes and it was really consistent in terms of throwing a bot.
The teeth are awful for damage. Even replacing each one with a razor would cause more damage. I really, really recommend you try making a generic 'popup' design using razors, maybe even iron spikes, then say that spike strips and teeth cause lots of damage. And this is coming from someone who doesn't even build popups. It's just common knowledge.
It wasn't really for damage, it was more for being able to position the bot to get a better flip.

I like to use Spike Strips with some sort of tooth on the top. It does a lot of damage. I haven't made many flippers, but when I do I use Spike Strips.

You forgot the 'weapons' entry. They're not rammer.py.
Reduce throttle and topspeed to 130 and 50, because 1000 throttle is hax.
My bot exporter doesn't work so I don't know what weapons numbers to put.

Disclaimer: These are not my bots. I'm bored so I'm AIing them for fun.

It's DirectionalSpinner
Jesus, that was fast. DirectionalSpinner did not work.

Changed "Spin" to a button. Didn't spin with Omni or Spinner binding.

I am just starting out AIing. I've made spinners in stock before, but for some reason it isn't working in DSL. I named the SWITCH "Spin" and named it as a Spinner in the bindings. It acts like spinner, but the weapon won't work. The AI guide says I don't need a smart zone, so I'm confused.
