Hercules surprised me with how well-built his bot is. I wasn't expecting much from a relative newbie, and you probably doomed yourself when you chose to enter an HS in a tourney that bans all of the most effective HS weapons, but I respect you for it.
For the record, a 24HS with spiked clubs wouldn't have been too bad. Just like maces only 4kg heavier. Also, I shall join the ranks of people with unlucky draws. I've got full caster armor on my top and front... and I'm fighting a side hammer. This will come down to a wedge war.

bump First of all I just saw the famous crocodile bot (I missed it before because my internet was slow) and I must throw in the obligatory "that bot is the RA2 equivalent of Mechadon" comment. Second of all, I'm bumping because I have an idea why your prototype works better than all your other attempts at walkers. It may be because it has wheels for feet. Walkers are so difficult to build in RA2 mainly because nothing has very much friction. Feet tend to slide across the floor without moving the bot, as I'm sure you've discovered. But wheels actually do have some friction. You can see this if you build a piston-propelled bot and then put a wheel on it; it moves much slower with the wheel and doesn't slide like it's on ice so much. So if you put wheels on the feet of some of your other walkers, they might start working better.

2- Sorry Click, most of your other designs are far cooler than this. Or is it NFX masquerading as Click ?
You dare presume that I would run 2 normal Z-tek drive on a MW rammer and then overpower it with 2 Supervolts which are not even stacked? I am incised that you so doubt my ability to build! I don't think it's NFX either. Whoever it is clearly has skill, but I'm guessing they're new and haven't learned the best MW drive setups yet. Also the splash is awesome but the bot should figure more prominently in it. I voted #1. +Respect for attempting a stock MW flipper, which are almost always worthless in battle, but if you're going to do a flipper that's the way to do it.

i think this is the first time GRW entered a decent bot in a tourney.....
GRW has entered lots of decent bots. Trollestia 2 in Ironbot comes to mind. Also, what in the name of all that is holy was S32 smoking when he built that mess bot? I can see it's meant to cause Havok explosions... but that's no way to win.

Wicked Chicken (First Chicken Drill)
lol. I won't argue that Wicked Chicken wasn't influential, but it was built before FB or I joined the official forums and never showcased. No one even knows what it looks like. The only reason anyone even knows it exists is because I named the Chicken glitch after it. :P Once I'm back home and my internet is good enough to upload my Robot Designs folder though, you may finally get to see it. Edit: Also Diarrhea Of A Madman should be on that list. It was probably the most feared BBEANS bot of all time--NO ONE wanted to face it. It also defined MW sledgehammer VS designs for a long time afterward, until the "everything on a half sheet/disc/skirt" craze started.

*grumblegrumble* I literally just did some cleanup of the "files" folder of my website yesterday and deleted that because I thought you had it... Well here it is again: http://beetlebros.gametechmods.com/files/FierceIrishCoca.rar (Posting here instead of in a PM in case the splash never gets done and anyone is curious what my bot looks like)

Nicely done. How often do the Perms get taken off?
Never.
How often do the flamethrowers get taken off, though? Say, by a VS? Nitpicking aside though, that is an amazing design.

SKBT: 1st match Destructonator scores 10108. HoverVore scores 5988 and wins by KO 2nd match Destructonator scores 45066. HoverVore Scores 6325 and loses by points 3rd match Destructonator scores 54859. HoverVore scores 9046 and loses by points Outcome: Destructonator wins
Whoa, I wouldn't have expected that. Did Destructonator hover too high and hit HoverVore's extender arm or something? But thanks for satisfying my curiosity.

Talk about a razor guy run... Congrats nicsan, though your bot is actually quite a bit better than razor guy, it's still a very impressive victory. Also: at JD's discs fitting exactly between my discs. Didn't see that coming at all. If I had beat him... reckon I might've had a chance at beating nicsan and winning the championship.

ARGH SO CLOSE He only had about 1 or 2 razors left! In retrospect, I can see several ways I could have improved 6IT. If I put the whole weapon system on pistons to give me more forward momentum, or even just extended the rear support to put the weapon higher off the ground, I'm sure I could've won by de-shelling FSM. JD's bot seems to work how I wanted mine to work. At least one of us got the design right!

My last Christmas BOTM entry used a lot of special light effects. The red lights on the disc "rotate" around the edge, the green lights on top "move" up and down, and the light on top changes colors. You can easily make "lights" that are always on using a reflection map and additive transparency, but I needed to make a custom .py for that bot in order to make them turn on and off, which won't work for any other bot. So, to answer you question, it's possible, just not practical.

Though why wasn't it moving that much?
That's due to it barely hovering. Scraping against the ground is slowing it down. It tries, though. your right, in the garage, it's fine. but try it out in the parking lot
Yup, I ran into the same problem with 6IT. That's why I have that disc on an axle mount in the back. If it just has a static support, it can't move. Also, WYEDG doesn't work at all like how I expected, but it's a pretty cool idea. Seeing that, I wonder if it would have been possible to modify my Thwomp bot into a downward poker.

Flippabop is arguably more faily than that bot. At least Atomic Pokey Stick a) has a means of offense, and b) is symmetrical. You can make the paint job worse by slapping on some random kill fangs and red X decals. Also, gratuitous use of surface layers, especially the squares and the hole punches.

Galuf's death in Final Fantasy V. He takes OVER 9000 damage even after he's already at 0 HP! Exdeath is merciless! ...Oh, is that not what you meant by "brutal" deaths? Too bad.

Also the real Slideout is purple and orange...
Before anyone says anything.. I didnt enter... buuuut I am a bit of a Hot Wheels collector so I couldnt help but share this
http://hotwheels.wikia.com/wiki/Slideout
Hot Wheels have produced this in many different colours
I stand corrected. Looks like Kurt was basing his bot off the 2002 version. I know Slideout primarily because FB and I used to have a Hot Wheels game for PC that was kinda like Turbo Racing, except nowhere near as good, but we played it to death anyway (this was well before Turbo Racing ever came out). At one point it became our goal to collect all the cars from the game. Slideout, Tow Jam, and Twin Mill are the only ones I remember that were in it. Edit: Just did a Google search; it was called Stunt Track Driver. Man it's been so long since I've played that game, I hardly remember what any of those cars look like. Doubleedit: So much nostalgia looking at the wiki page for that game... wish I was home so I could look through my old Hot Wheels collection and see how many of those cars we did end up getting.

Was gonna vote #2 but then I saw... Copals??? A Hot Wheels car ought to be a little faster than that! Also the real Slideout is purple and orange... Still a really cool entry but these are all pretty good and that just tipped it over the edge.

I can't get why you built a defensive bot and made it a VS.
Besides, that's gonna get outwedged easily.
Why not? I don't have a lot of weight for weapons, so something that can lift opponents and kill them without needing to outweapon them first seems ideal. Oh, and I forgot to mention that the weapons can hit stuff underneath it too. And yes, it is outwedged easily most of the time (although one time it did somehow tie with Fat Rat), which is a major disadvantage 1-on-1, but I'm hoping for more flanking opportunities in a team battle.

Why did Jonzu get up early in the morning? He wanted to see the crack of Dawn. I know, I know, the whole Dawn thing is old hat (we hope)... but I thought it was clever.

Seeing as hillbilly Christianity is still common, I don't see why not. :P
If you knew the depraved breeding chains some of my Pokemon have been spawned from... It is not even physically possible for hillbillies to stoop to that level. :P
