Here's a flower for you guys. A very VERY large flower

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DBR4uJ0ml04&feature=youtu.be#

It's More than fortress, it's a battlestation! It isn't able to self right but it trusts in its size and weight to avoid falling on its side. The bot is divided in 3 main parts: base, top and center. Each part is attached to an individual motor and the motors are all stacked one on another, but not really attached. The base and the top spin clockwise while the center, containing its beautiful "petals" spins counterclockwise.

For a second then I thought those were all mantises. Mantis? Manti?

Lol. I like them but there are limits

Mantis and mantises are the correct terms. Mantid and Mantids were invented and are, apparently, the most used ones by American English folks

This can't be real...

I promise it is

Thank you all

dem editing skills.

What were the parts that you used for the arms and ears? Thinking the arms are beta hammers but I'm unsure.

For the ears I use half an Hex plate. The angle at which I recorded the badger made them look black for some reason.
For the arms I just used to 2x60cm aluminum extenders and 2x 45º alu angles on the tips.

Edit:
The Cyriak influence seems strong here.

You compare my videos with Cyriak's godly works of art?
That's both a huge compliment to me and a huge offense to Cyriak.

I'm going to re-upload the video soon for some minor timing and sound fixes.

I didn't think it would be relevant to post the 2 main characters of the video but since Mr. AS questioned the build I'm gonna do it:

This isn't much of a new bot. It's more of a funny video I made.
Hope you like it

Edit: the video has been replaced with the fixed one

^ You're one to talk Jonzu. Reminds me of the discussion that the pot had to the kettle regarding blackness.
Hey newfag. Go cry to your mommy, ok?

I had an idea for a Christmas entry but college has kept me very busy so I had no time for it. I'll save it for next Christmas. That is, if I find some free time by then.

You'll have to defeat me in single combat first, boy.

That comment remembered me of the character that seems to fit Naryar's personality quite nicely

You get repping power? I still don't have that. :rage

I don't either and I don't really care.
I don't appreciate the drinks much but the pool table is really nice though.

Played it for a while last year but it was too arcadish for my taste. The keyboard and camera controls are are a bit hard to get a hang on. People who play with a joystick will have a clear advantage in it.

I say this as a guy who plays IL2 Sturmovik regularly. Those who like quick and brutal action (and WWII games) will enjoy WarThunder. Apparently playable tanks will also be soon implemented.
