I was looking for the insanity arena for quite some time! Thanks for doing this. Also a whole Gun Bots tournament would be fun.
The latest bot has the value of the side changed via bfe I guess? Reminded me of this thing I did years ago
How the did you get it to rotate the chassis mesh? Is the snapper axle one of the AP's that attaches to the baseplate?

Interesting. Also funny how I set the original standard of "limit the broken components/ban it" back when I talked with Craaig about it on Discord and how it's kinda ridiculous on how noone has banned/limited their use yet to "fix" tournaments. I do think however that it should depend on bot and build, as bot with two weaker motors could very well be weaker than one with a strong motor, so more creative builds are done, but stuff like that probably won't happen in DSL, also sad that only one Overkill Blade means that stuff like 090901's Guy Jean bot won't appear again, will miss it.

What was that track used for the first match of the loser's bracket? More InitialD stuff? Are you going to fix your graphics settings so that the skins are no longer messed up?
Is not using actioncam a new meme now?
no control by manuel.
i forgot about that and will try to remember to do that
Geice Certain people requested me to use F10 instead of action cam (Not really that much of fan of it anyways just because everything kinda looks the same then, but makes recording ez since you just have to hit a button and it does the work for you).
What a fitting song given that Wen's bot was out of control and doing 1 wheel drifts(guess it wanted to be a melty SNS) Nice Ah, thought something like that happened, it does allow for fun moments and a better camera view once a bot falls. Also thought this was F2(which is kinda broken with actioncam installed)

R01, could you do me a massive favour and win against Redace? Actioncam is overrated. I've never used it.
I would do that, however I don't see it happening That top hammer can just hit the extender for the disc motor way too easily. Also or bots will be best friends forever ^^ Actioncam is sadly a bit blury, Trov was working on a update and I hope that one gets released somewhat soon.

What was that track used for the first match of the loser's bracket? More InitialD stuff? The first match had at least 3 moments where I thought "oh come on, it just had to get stuck in that position" however thanks to Wen's bot being completely out of control I didn't get counted out and his glitched out of the arena. Dunno if RA2 lagged that much.
Wen's bot could've been a nice bot but he really overdid on drive and didn't add any extenders to help with stability(that's something I did for mine, however it stops it from self righting when upside down, yes that works somehow, gyro forces) it's sad that it was such a unstable mess as it could've been a better fight.
Let's see, Redace... ****. Kurt's hammers were already a bit of danger but Redace's top one could easily hit the extender, ending the fight before it even starts.
Badger vs As was interesting, multibots sadly have the weight disadvantage against flippers, however the video was so laggy. good use of the free camera. Redace vs MNB, odd to see a bot attacking one while the other is getting counted out. RIP SNS, I did enjoy the flailing hammers even if the flails should've been attached to the body and if it most likely needed different weapons. Surprising win by Thrack Conraa's bot looked nice flying out like that, however it's sad seeing it lose. Coldsteel could be a serious threat now. Good to see Squirrel Monkey win after the wedges got messed up like that on the first fight. Mr As vs Silverfish: axles glitching like crazy, luckily this only happens if there's no weight on them. MnB's bot was sadly a bit unstable, otherwise it was a interesting clone fight.
Are you going to fix your graphics settings so that the skins are no longer messed up? Is not using actioncam a new meme now?

if we patch it can we bring back the long axle motors i know they are still there but he removed them from styles dropdown menus but man there are times i would have liked to use them.
Long Axle sounds interesting, also wouldn't mind more uniform sized components but that would probably be better off for a new mod together with DSC's colored extenders and armor plates, maybe some kind of DSL lite which only has the important components and no AI replica stuff?(this all goes into the direction that I originally had in mind for my mod, minus completely restarting)

:/ Hope that some kind of petition or just other teams talking with the RW staff could change this. It really sucks that some stuff like that is still going on behind RW, definitely not as good of a reboot as it could've been but still better than nothing.
Also apparently they'll have about the same number of episodes?

It's Trov glitch, I've done it before and made bots with it. (Don't remember how to do it nowadays though)
Thought Trov Glitch was only about having the thin walls? Guess it's about using the chassis creation rectangle/circle in general to do odd stuff.
Trov Glitch is more about being able to place chassis points really close to one another. The Donut chassis isn't actually a complete circle at all- there's a beginning and end but the chassis walls are really close to one another so it's hard to tell.
Thought it was something like that at first. Thanks for the picture, also surprised how it's almost on the grid.

Did some dude enter the same bot as they did into wildcard rally?
¬_¬
If you're talking about Hypershock, then no, it's a different user and mine was called Hypershock ed. I entered a flipper.

It looks nice, even if it's not the most effective design. Would swap the multiextender for one of the round or regular ones to make it look even better.

It's nice that you added the bot names via annotations. Thoughts: Blizzard vs Hypershocked Didn't expect to get one wheel off and wonder how much HP was left(probably still too much compared to the battery life of my bot) Like expected, the long blade got the sides instead of the front first, which meant that it took quite a while to get a knockout, made for a interesting match instead of a boring 3 second knockout. Wish I had more time to do the planned loadouts, but I think the fight was still nice to watch(even if it was a bit boring with the circling around happening for most of it), think I'll make the extenders for the front armor pannels inside instead of outside next time, they still seem to take damage even if it's actually the side pannel that gets hit.(Guess RA2's damage sharing mechanic still is in place or it temporarily gets bent out of place/has a big hitbox) For some reason the bottom pannel always gets lost first, must be the perfect height for spinners.
Think Blizzard uses a small perm? Else my bot would've been knocked away and didn't have a chance to even get close. Was a great match. No havoks until the end as well :P
Deathstalker vs Blackjack Deathstalker's Axe was just a little too short but it still managed to get the hits in and defeat Blackjack, wonder how low it's armor was after that.
Green Arrow vs Spinneroo That was a quick one, Green Arrow surprisingly good at OOTAing bots, wish that my flippers were able to do this kind of stuff, might be the wedge setup.
Space Shuttle vs Termite Did the saw wheels do that much damage to take off the beater bar wedge piece? Or was that the ant blades which I've heard are basically like Razors?
Arachnida vs Duke Arachnida started strong, taking off the motor of Duke but then lost the hammer, thought it would lose because of that(which would've been sad since it controlled the match up to this point) but it did manage to get a nice knockout via the arena hazards.
Hotbot vs Rambulance Hotbot does look way better with it's skinned wedge, sadly it's still rather thin which means low turning and doesn't have much to it. In my view it's flipper was stronger (which is a bit odd given that Rambulance uses a Spring Beta just like Green Arrow, who was able to do good OOTAs) but it would have trouble self righting. Rambulance managed to OOTA it however.

Don't worry about it, it's still a fun tournament even with those edits and even if my bot is terrible(sorry DemonofTomorrow, will try to do something better next time).
I did see the post about the double elimination but it felt like a post or more info was missing, do understand it now.

Saw on a servo, dunno how to get the arm working right, needs to self-right, riddled with AGOD. Anyone know how to help? Please and thank you.
Just curious, how did you get it working Also OmniServo.py "verticvaly" just a minor detail :P

RedAce isn't the person I'd expect a Swastika from.
^ Wonder how that Donut works, also I would've entered something like Kill except it would be triple flat wedges, didn't think it would be original enough and didn't have time.
Trov chassis glitch
Doesn't look like Trov chassis to me, more like BFE(which I think was allowed for this), good luck to whoever got Thrack's chassis(shouldn't we have a list to see who got which chassis?)

I'm surpirsed how fast this got up.
Okay, Okay no need to rub it in, :P
#BotOfTheLastTwoWeeksWinner
Your bot was great, enjoyed it and the skid steering, just surprised as I thought it would be until the end of the month until it's up(but then it wouldn't really be BoTM anymore)

Speaking of DSL 2.2.1, it would be a good time to include a patch that fixes some general things, like the broken arenas/Freestyle not working at all and possibly some component AP's like Beta Bursts or NPC Rights(or was it Lefts?) by making new components and having the old ones in a cheatbot 2 menu, just like Click did with the hinges?
I agree with the addition of patching the Compressor and Ocean Platform Arenas permanently in the patch but if you are editing components it will outlaw some past robots.
Again, not outside the relm of possibility but if you are editing the actual content id jump to a 2.3 version number just to clarify the differences in the robots.. Then players can have the option of playing 2.2 just like they can play 2.1 standalone if they choose
The components could still be legal(just put into the cheatbot2 menu so people start using the new ones with centered and fixed AP's), but I understand what you mean, could still lead to problems if people just want to use a component like that for a certain AP(althrough I doubt that would really happen with those two). Flamethrowers could also be fixed(the power=0 line is missing, as such they only start firing once you drive). Thing is, I wouldn't think that those are worth a full jump to 2.3, component balance fixes would still be part of the mentioned 2.2.1.

That pumpkin one is a work of ****ing art.
Really? While I liked the original concept that I had, I found that the final bot could've been a lot better
See, you might have had a better idea in your head, but there's nothing about the bot that looks unfinished, and it's very unique and well-built. You underestimated yourself, I'd say.
So don't hesitate to enter November's BOTM!
True, the released bot might look a bit unfinished on certain parts, but the Splash showed it's good sides, and that's what was voted on in the end. Nice that I won something and I'm surpirsed how fast this got up. As for BOTM November, it's nice that there's no forced topic but I currently don't have many ideas, will still try to do something and enter BOTM once in a while.
