Thanks again for all of this hard work you're doing to run this tournament. Since we're between televised events, this is probably helping to keep me sane.

General Support / Re: increasing/decreasing speed of spin motors« on: July 17, 2017, 05:58:35 PM »
You want to edit one of your perm 132's speed? Open your components folder and type perm in the upper right search box, and just wait. The text files that are named perm132rM, perm132m, etc. are what you want. I recommend using Notepad++ to edit RA2 text and python stuff, and it also has an option to edit all open documents. That's how I personally do it.

Welp, I don't see myself going all the way T.T
Btw, those hinged wedges are for bots like Enceladus. Since we didn't know what arena it would be, I didn't want to chance losing to flippers on arenas with low walls. 50

DSL TC Showcases / Re: Kaiser112183's DSL Showcase« on: March 18, 2016, 12:14:14 PM »the belt motor. In my opinion, there should be no hidden parts :P except for the ones that are parts of replicas and are relatively useless, but for example this motor was technically included in the DSL 2.2 mod, but was hidden for whatever reason, and it's become my favorite motor out of almost all of them. I guess that answers my question of whether or not I can use hidden components in a tournament, No. ![]() 57

Discussion / Re: Robot Arena 3!« on: March 16, 2016, 02:16:43 PM »
Is anyone else keeping up with the latest RA3 stuff a little bit worried by the generic as hell components? and the fact that all of the bots have looked like crap so far? I am starting to worry that the new game will come out as under developed as the old game.. Like, how disappointed would you be if after all this time, we get a new RA game 13 years later and they still haven't made the game so the chassis can be penetrated/bent as well as components? S***, if RA2 was updated to have much better physics, graphics etc. and a less limited way to build a chassis, we'd pretty much have the game we want. That, and we need a quick, lag-free way to play multiplayer.
To be fair, though, RA2 came out in 2003, a time when playing against other players across the internet was pretty much a brand new concept, so they actually did pretty well considering they managed to do it before xbox/playstation. |
