O,o Patience, I am getting there. Soon enough I will have the computer build robots for me. Testing is yet to come. 43

Sorry Fracture (and WackyBob), I appreciate the advice very much, but I was not meaning to improve the robot by conventional means.

Another idea: Climbing robots. Vertical and horizontal spanning monkey bars.

One of the very first. I was trying to copy aspects from a few of the default computer robots. It is not very good. I do not even know if it drives. I figured I would multiply all the components by 10. That would improve it, right?

This one needs an upgrade:

Of course. No way would I spend more than the few seconds it took me to come up with how many I wanted. :)

I could, but I will not be able to open it in my lifetime. Maybe I could send it to you.

Over 100 by the looks of it.Exactly 101 batteries. :) I forgot to show this: ![]() Only 21 motors. I tried 101 but it froze the game. All 203 of them: ![]() Here is a link to the last one: https://gametechmods.com/Robot_Exchange/UHW/shedRift_OUT.bot 54

Thanks. HAX MODE appears to be fine for some robots. But what happens if you need some batteries?
Now, as you can see, I have some batteries: ![]() 55

Thanks for being clear. I would add to your reputation if I knew how. It looks like I need to read about HAX MODE.
Software outside of the game would be able to do things such as: 1. As many of a component wished to be at the exact same coordinates 2. Presets of attached component groups 3. Accuracy in general 4. Mirroring/symmetry with the click of a button 5. Procedurally generated robots Those are just a few ideas I came up with now. 56

All of you keep bringing up the castors, which I specifically said would not be legal. You also brought up chassis modification, which I said would not be legal. Hopeless.

Untrustworthy? Elaborate. How does one go about checking to make sure nobody is cheating in the usual tournaments? If anything, it would be more trustworthy, as there are less rules and parts of rules to be broken.

Reread my post, please. I cannot even understand what you are getting at or trying to argue. One common point I think I am understanding is a disdain for rules. What are tournaments like here? Rule-free? Are members not proficient in reading the likely simple and few rules?

I am not asking for your support.
Regulations such as: 1. No components attached directly to the mainframe can be exposed outside of the mainframe. 2. No mainframe/chassis modification? .. 60
Stock Showcases / Re: shedRift Robots:« on: March 25, 2014, 04:36:56 PM »Na way too easy to just make indestructible bots outside of bot lab. So it wouldn't be much of a fighting contest. Yes, you would need a few regulations. |
