I know it wasn't BFE'd, but I thought I gave you Infernal contraption.

I have improved socket launcher, it's now faster, better traction and even though it reduced the armour, tougher because I added side panels and DSL bars in place to protect it.
I made a new middle wieght called Factory-made, cos' it looks a bit dull because of the design, however ,it is pretty destructive. It's a bit slow though, and unless it's against a popup, it is faster, and better protected when flipped.

Do not use thumbnails. Use the IMG tags.

also, please make a picture for each bot... a relatively large one so I may see what it is. make your showcase so people can see your bots clearly and easily.
I tried, but when I pressed upload nothing happened.

Here's a non thumbnail version.
Socket Launcher should not use Shiny Hub Wheels as they are not too good i believe, so move your motors down and use hypno wheels. If you want big wheels you can use Vlad or Tornado wheels but those are unnecessary as your bot should be able to self right with ease. Make it so your flippers are not connected with a angle connector either as those are fairly useless and rather brittle if i remember correctly. You could use a flipper maker instead.
Never ever use aluminium armor. It is just terrible. It has the issue of having a bad weight/armor ratio.
OK, I'll change the wheels; but I need the flippers at an angle cos they double up as protection.

DSL TC Showcases / Yeastisbeast's DSL Showcase
« on: November 16, 2014, 03:04:58 AM »
My first attept at a showcase(cos I'm even worse at stock than I am at DSL). I thought I'd get things started with the 2 best bots I made from each devision.Yeah you are gonna have 2 click on the image to make it full size. Anyone know how to make images bigger when you upload them?
A.W.D.Y stands for are we there yet? A.W.D.Y is probably my best bot, the flipper can get underneath anything most of the time, but it's a little unbalanced, and bucks when you spin the discs up.
Socket launcher is OK, not much to say about it really.
Electo is pretty awful, but I didn't want to post Dr.Pixel, cos he was entered in dynamic duos. Works a bit like A.W.D.Y, but worse, usuallly, I don't use the titianium sheet (which flips) for anything other than self-righting
Pollutant is pretty good it's tough and destrictive, but it's a bit big and if you turn sharply when the weapons are spinning it flips over, and you have to let it skitter to the arena wall to right itself.
Unwanted is also pretty good. It has a powerful thwack. But it's hard to control and if run head first into the arena wall, it will probably pole-vault over it's own weapon and fly out.
The Hacker is kinda average, it does damage when it flips and has lots of traction, but it's rear is a bit vunreable, and also, The Hacker is no were near OOTA  powerful, and often has trouble getting killing blows.

3rd in the main tournament and 2nd(technically) in both rumbles. Better than I thought I'd do. Remind me to build a decent lightweight next time.

General Support / Wham's RW mod Bindings Issue
« on: November 02, 2014, 04:31:22 AM »
Wham's RW mod hates me. I tried to copy a bot's bindings from standerd DSL into whan's rw mod, it didn't work. That's fine. Then I deleted it's bindings, but it still crashes when I try to fight bots. Also my computer is retarded and won't let me download it again. I think it would help if someone PASTED the writing of wham's RW mod's bindings. Plz do NOT give me a link for the file, it would waste time, and most likely not work. :vista:

Mod Note: Edited the title to be clearer and edited out the massive chain of emoticons.

OK, sorry, I didn't know that it couldn't do that. It was a bit of a hasty build anyway, cos' it was originally a beetleweight.

Maybe you should fill the gaps with DSL teams-like BOT-205 and Devil 2.

I did flip the clock and anticlock on each bot and then exported, without any difference. What I mean by getting the bot into DSL is copying it's bindings from the RW AI folder, and replacing the DSL version of the bots' AI with RW version of the bots' AI. Is wham's the one with DSL 3 components and a dominaotr 2 that can't self-right?

I tried that, no difference.

There's more than likely clashes between the DSL and RW Razer and WBC - sounds like a components clash for Razer and a bindings clash for WBC.
For example, if you've still got the DSL WBC bindings in the file with the new one, whichever the game finds first will be used for both bots, regardless of how (or what way round) they're built.
With Razer it could be edited components using the same name. The claw's attachment point could've changed for example to beach it like that.
When I pasted the bindings and components, I set it to replace any components with the same name. I've just checked the razer components file, and everything has a different name. The claw is still attached to the motor, would their be a way to chance where the motor started and finished for the specific bot? No idea what's wrong with WBC and thermedore, I tried swiching controls round and everything and there's no difference. Do you know if this has been done before, because if it has could you point me to the discussion plz. Thx 4 trying.

I copied the bindings for each induvidual bot from the DSL RW folder. I also copied the components folder and pasted it on top of the normal DSL components folder.

General Support / Mods bot transfer thing.
« on: October 18, 2014, 01:35:50 PM »
I've been experimenting a bit, and I copied the components folder from DSL RW into normal DSL. Then I've tried to get AI bots from the DSL RW mod on normal DSL. It wasn't a total failure(the game doesn't crash) but there are still issues. Razor's claw is hanging out the back, pushing the rear wheels off the ground. And wheely big cheese attacks with it's rear end. Plz help.

And, unsurprisingly Gaia loses. I wish I'd ebtered something else. Also, Gaia was supposed to be invertible, but that's my fualt for not telling you and not AI-ing it myself.
