I wish more builders lived near me so we could have a viewing party!
Skype live stream yo.
Yeah, I'd be up for that.
Same. When will you guys call?

You're learning quite fast, Boby! Your bots damn beauty.

I honestly think each one is pretty cool. I voted No. 2, since Hot Wheels. (Childhood, man...) Also, I think its design is pretty slick.

New Heavyweight
(Image removed from quote.)
(Image removed from quote.)
Ichor- 794.1kg, titanium 10. Someone please let me know if this is IRL or not since I'm not too sure.

Also forgot to post my lightweight before
(Image removed from quote.) (Image removed from quote.)
Ditsy- 247.6kg, no armour. No armour may be a terrible idea but I figured if anything has the opportunity to hit the chassis it's pretty much screwed anyway. Antweight blade is there to keep the shell off the ground.
The top one looks good, but maybe get the bars to hold the belt drive rather than it being far away (still a better attempt then what I can pull off). The second one, I'm not a huge fan of Typhoon spikes or the chassis' space. (Craaig, is my advice okay? Or am I making bad assumptions...)

Holy crap, it's been a while:

Here's some bots I built just today:

Mongolo:
(Image removed from quote.)
I bot inspired by Towering Inferno.

Vertigod:
(Image removed from quote.)
An experimental VS that I TRIED to make realistic.
(Image removed from quote.)
Due to wieght restraints, the disc is only supported on one side.
(Image removed from quote.)
Due to EXTREME gyroscopic tendencies, I added some tacky side bar stabilizers.

Both are pretty good, though the second one seems messy to me.

Latest sprite. Here's Dustman from Dustforce. The game was developed by fans of Melee, and so he'll play similarly to that with speed and heavy hits. However, he'll have a high skill cap and be very light to make up for this.

I've begun work on the engine. Haven't gotten to the point where I can showcase a demo yet.
Pretty cool lookin'. Dide you do Box Boy (or whatever is was) from that 3ds eshop title that was shown from direct 4.1.15? I thought he might be cool.

DSL TC Showcases / Re: Craaig ~ DSL VS and IRL Designs

I like the eyes, they add a sort of biomechanic feel to the usually organic personalities I give robots. Plus it'd be hard to give it more animated eyes with components unless I used the old 'Dizzy' Vlad wheels.
I don't think it looks messy and I actually really like the Lightning spikes under the flipper because they're almost tusk-like.
So yeah, for once, I'm basically ignoring what you're all saying :P

Good luck trying it out. Took me forever to line all the stuff up and get the chassis the right size. Mainly the height/location of the tread motors and the bottom plate.
Yeah, I can see that. (BTW, I meant that the eyes are just funny looking to me. I feel it should be something else or something (idk...))
Still... neat design man. Was it inspired from another robot by any chance?

With edited drive motors it's a lot of fun to drive.

Without the middle bar, by the way, it looks weird and unsupported. Because the 2 bars on top have different AP orientation (because of the burst) it's very hard to brace it.
(Image removed from quote.)

Oh and just for fun, as per usual (not claiming this is good or useful), CRAZY SAW VERSION
(Image removed from quote.)
I have to agree with Nary, the eyes do turn me off. The design is pretty cool, actually. (might want to "try it out" for myself  :yaya) )

It's real.
There are emails floating around from the owner of Gabriel to others saying mysterious things which basically boil down to 'OH LOOK, THE WEBSITE HAS CHANGED INDEED!'
Wait what

Wait, do we use DSL 2.1 for this or DSL 3? Or do we combine the two like last time?
You combine them.
Eep, I have not been paying attention. What do I paste over what? I'm assuming I start with DSL2, paste DSL3 over that, and then the battlebots stuff over that?
Some installation instructions wouldn't go amiss in future, to prevent idiots like me breaking things :P
I think there was a tutorial in the beta test
I deleted now and I'm too lazy to dig it up on the thread...

AWESOME NEWS:

I've officially begun beta testing!

So far, I've managed to get these bots to work:
Abbatoir
Complete Control
Dark Steel
Diesector
Doom of Babylon
Dr Inferno Jr

This is a VERY small sample of all the bots that are currently being tested.

Bottom line is, this mod is nearing it's first proper release. :gawe:
Woot

also you still on on your easy DSL hybrid ? alright... HS/Dustpan
Delayed reaction, but I'll try to think of something.

Anyways, here's what was going to be an artbot but actually turned out to be pretty good.
(Image removed from quote.)

Everything attached to the aluminium extenders is on a Tornado Mer motor. It's very stable and can get some good hits in, surprisingly.
I feel like stealing this. Looks great man. I agree with Maz, it needs a skin.

Anyone know what time the first show will appear on T.V Eastern? I have a feeling I'd need to wait until it's on Youtube.
