I think that's the best a LW HS can get without using a snapper. The overall design reminds me of Child's Play IV; it would be interesting to see these bots go head-to-head.

I will download it on the first day, or may any deities that exist inflict a devastating plague upon all men.

I was browsing South Park Archives when these ads appeared towards the bottom of the screen:
I think it's in Chinese based on the complexity of the characters. I don't know what made the ad algorithms decide to display ads to me in a language besides English, although if I had to guess, it would be a side effect of my ongoing interest in linguistics. Turkic languages FTW! 47

I'm jealous. You Finns have an awesome language, democratic socialism, and world-class education. God does not exist; if He did, He would look at me and say "Hmm, this lad's a left-leaning linguist that loves learning. BY THINE DIVINE LINES, HE SHALT BE FINNISH!"

Ironforge TC Showcases / Re: TRB does ironforge (The other TRB)« on: November 15, 2015, 11:28:02 AM »
This bot does not have enough battery power. It has four spin motors, meaning it draws 40 amps. A single car battery, while superior in terms of power per amp, only provides 20 amps--not enough to fully power this bot. Instead, replace it with two lantern batteries and one small battery, which amounts to 40 amps. This may or may not free up a few kilograms to use a stronger armor than Al3.

DSL TC Showcases / Re: Scorpions Totally EEEEVIL Showcase« on: November 14, 2015, 11:18:03 PM »
I like how the sides are paper-thin instead of the rear plate, as is the case of most trov chassis designs. But is the bot effective in battle?
Also are the NPCs regular or fast? 52

There is a PY called "FBSTrinityInvertDir," and it comes packaged with Ironforge. It is designed for trinity spinners like the one you made.
As for the bot itself, I like the creativity but I don't see how it could self-right if knocked over. Also try using some smaller wheels; hypnos might work. 53

Modifications / Re: Robot Wars RA2 - OFFICIAL MOD« on: October 03, 2015, 12:05:50 PM »well, with the adjustable drive motors, you could have one motor with a dropdown menu in the components section. (although i'm not sure that's what you mean)This kind of thing has already been done before; There are two speeds of NPC-T64 in DSL, although the fast ones are heavier. Also I am in favor of chainsaws. Because: chainsaw. 56

I think that the component description should list its stats.
Also, what is the purpose of the Mega Extenders? I've never figured it out. 57

The chassis looks really neat. How did you do it?

In hindsight, I should have left less space open on the bottom of CTG's chassis. Had it not been for that really dumb design flaw, I might have moved past the semi-finals, maybe even to win the tournament.

Ironforge TC Showcases / Re: The Mighty Reier's "help i died and i cant get up" Ironforge extravaganza« on: September 07, 2015, 11:07:17 AM »is a crawler really that simple? i thought it required circle extenders and not actual wheels =pCrawlers usually lack wheels and instead opt for weapons on discs. However, this reduces the ability to have controlled movement, so some builders give their crawlers a pair of wheels to make up for this. |
