Absolutely nothing wrong with kloning when you're starting out, it really helps you nail some important ideas and skills.
Just remember to get your own ideas when you start to get better at the game.

I've been running RA2 fine on Windows XP but when I upgraded to Windows 7 64x I haven't been able to open any arenas on stock or DSL. I've been using the downloads from Sage's sig. When I go into the botlab the game crashes. When I try to enter a tourney I can hear the crowd cheering but the game blackscreens. When I try to do an exhibition match the only arena selection is an unnamed arena. The preview is The Octagon with the heckraisers having a different texture and when I try to play Peanut Botta appears in all four corners then the game freezes. All the arenas are in the folder so what is going wrong?
tl;dr: Can't load any arenas.

you have absurdly high chassis armor.
fixed. I'm pretty sure you don't need armour that high, especially when you have such a small amount of weapons. And if steel teeth = shark teeth, don't use them. Their hitbox is so small it makes everyone cry. At the very least you want light DS teeth but they won't last very long on a HW so preferably use something more durable.

Well, it doesn't actually swing the hammer.
It just slowly pushes it in a direction, causing maybe 50-120 greentext.
I'm actually kinda sad it didn't work.
You could use a 270 Degree DSL Axle Mount. Lighter than a Piglet, that's for sure.
He wanted it to work as an actual hammer, just mounted on a spin motor. Not a flail.

Not very effective, not very pretty but it's my first 360 hammer bot so I guess that's something.
The skin lacks a black bar in the middle because my game crashes the very moment I try to apply a decal.
My next bot might have drums for wheels.
Slimbodies are Crapola. Use TMW3R Drive instead.
Slims aren't bad for lightweights. And I like the new fish watermark, the other one was... meh. Does the piglet swing the hammer? Oh and you want to use wheels. Anything else will slide along the floor more and make it harder to drive.

You're right, but he also tried a type of wedge in where the wedge was more against the ground, holding the front of the bot up, and that outwedged everything if I read that right (not sure if that's what madman was going for)
I'm sure that one was with using only the center APs too.
