I think the fencer guy needs his elbow to be a little less round looking, but it's great other than that.
What are you programming this with?

for vertical spinners its usually good to use a tribar, or even better a small disk. Iron spikes or maces would work better as weapons too, because you can have more of them.
instead of the sloped ram plates try to just use a wedge shaped chassis. That should save weight

It goes in the gamecube, doesn't it

I think this is the farthest anyone's gotten on a new robot game Maybe the armor can overlap the frame (more like how an ra2 chassis looks) to close the holes. Also do you still need the stock ra2 models? I found a fairly easy way to convert them to .obj with notepad++

I actually didn't expect this to be possible, so great job! I might be able to make a few object files in blender for you. Do you want the exact vertex values from the gmf files?

Note
Also, both my featherweights will be in the game. However we are not sure which one will be in my in game team yet. If anyone wants to suggest which they would like in the game, then simply choose between the two below.
Defector
Utopia
Cool. For your game team just put whichever one you like more. If you can't decide though, I would put Defector in unless Utopia has been in a competition before the mod release date.

Also maybe we should make a general .GMF help thread...
That's a good idea. I could make something about t_verts and t_faces if it actually becomes a thread and people need help with it. How to use extenders effectively?
That sounds useful. Especially for beginners

Oooh I got one: mesh normals in a .GMF
I've tried over and over, but I cant get anything to work. I can kind of work around it by setting culling to 1, but that's poorly optimized and collisions are just broken.

I don't know why but I really like complex stuff with a lot of controls. Looks awesome

That whole plow setup would work better if you just used a base plate anchor instead of a servo. That will make it wider and you can have more of a v shape to catch bots better.
The hammer looks a little short too.

Sweet. Mind posting a video of it crushing stuff?

You don't need the red extenders if you put the baseplate anchors close enough to the edge.
Also, if i were building it, I would keep the chassis a rectangle shape. Put the motor baseplate anchors in front of or behind the battery, rather than to the side of it.
That should save some weight for dsa armor, and maybe more weapons.

This is starting to look pretty nice. Is the movement going to be more physics based? Like with spinning wheels and the robots can get flipped over?

To make the health bar longer it should just be the size. try using the values the other status bars have. The flashing alert thing is hard coded into the game, so it isn't in the .gib. In stock it completely covers the health bar and when the dsl ui was made they just worked around the flashing bar. Also don't mess with the child order variable, it will probably just crash your game.

I was going to enter KOS's tournament, but I didn't have enough time to finish two other bots because of marching band camp. Here's the one I did build though Poker/wammer hybrid. Designed to kill spinners, and it works too. Wedge is ok, 6 razors of the piston, and doesn't do so good if it gets flipped over. I want to enter it into a tournament to see how it does, even though it probably won't win. I'm just waiting for a stock mw one.

You can put a 64gb Micro SD card in an android phone, although they're expensive

Looks nice. Did you change the starting positions?
Yeah I moved them closer to the center so they wouldn't start over the spikes
