Site News and Feedback / Re: Petition to Bring Back Playground
« on: October 09, 2014, 10:26:15 PM »
I think deleting playground was a bad idea on the basis that it has decreased forum activity by a bit.

On the other hand, that activity was not beneficial to the forum in any way. It was just a place that turned into a toned down 4chan. Taking it away has only culled the part of the community that were here for the section that didn't add anything anyway. People should build more robots instead of complaining that an irrelevant section of the forum has been excised (he says, having not build a robot in ages. Double standards ho).

Besides, most of the later threads were just repetitive and not really memorable at all. 'Something, something, dubs, lel, kek, images, Frenchie, demodnaryar, #rektshrektdisrespekt'. I mean, there were a few fun topics, but a lot of it was drivel.

I'm certainly enjoying it, but the movement controls are a bit... unwieldy to say the least. Changing direction with any speed and jumping with up just doesn't seem as responsive (I am now trying to make myself use X or Y). As for the Home Run Contest and targets; if I got a pound for every time I dashed past the sandbag or bomb (or other characters, actually), then I would be severely injured and would probably need medical attention.

Control rubbish aside, I am having a blast. Working my way through Classic with all of the characters at the moment.

I thought I should just check up on this place, and the playground's gone, along with the GCT! The new RW mod by HereticBlue looks pretty sweet too. Has anything else of note happened? Is Jonzu still hanging around here?

Playground and Chatterbox are under different memberships now. And if you're still interested in RA2, you should check out 123's Ironforge.

Chaos if you give me a demo code I will love you forever

Sorry, but I gave the second one to an IRL friend, and S.T.C. nabbed the third, you literally just missed out. From what I have read, a demo will be publicly released in about a week. The only difference between this and the public one is that the public one has 30 uses and this one has unlimited uses.

I really hope that the actual game allows d-pad for movement. The circle pad is a bit annoying for 2D movement.

Off-Topic Discussion / Re: Cats or dogs: The ultimate question
« on: September 14, 2014, 05:20:19 AM »
They're both equally awesome. I have never had a cat but I don't see why some people don't like them. Cats are never hostile with me, like some people claim they are with them.

Unless they are mistaking 'playful' with 'hostile'. Sure, my cats occasionally claw at my hands when I am stroking them, but that's also if they are chasing something around the floor as well, or dangling a bit of string in front of them (or shortly thereafter).

Cats are the best, and dogs are merely great. The bulk of dog owners, on the other hand, should have their face shoved in the dog poo that they leave in the middle of the pavement

Downloading the demo as we speak. I also have three other download codes for the demo if anybody is interested (keep forgetting that I am signed up to Club Nintendo). I get to keep Meta Knight and Kirby as my mains, although, hopefully, I can play with a bit more skill now that I am older, and will spend less time relying on specials to get me out of trouble (like spamming Kirby's stone drop move and then going into the sword or hammer move when he is in the air after cancelling out of it.

Edit: As a note, it only has Mario, Link, Pikachiu, Villager, and Mega Man as playable characters, and there's only one stage to play on.

I'll probably post something from the sequel next, assuming there is something that really takes my fancy.

As I promised, here is a song from Danganronpa 2 by the name of Kill Command (at least in the English version). And, as I guessed, it was played in the same situation as Box 16.

I thought I posted this back when I was playing the first Danganronpa, but obviously not. I'll probably post something from the sequel next, assuming there is something that really takes my fancy.

- danganronpa

Danganronpa was leaving me speechless throughout the whole playthrough, as well as a good few days after I finished it. In fact, I remember having to complete one of the twists in the trial to settle my thoughts down. Its sequel is doing the same thing, and I'm only on chapter 5 now (and one of my favourite characters just died). Although, it's the same with a lot of these mystery games (Phoenix Wright to a lesser extent as a lot of the characters don't mean much as they only appear in one case, but, as with Danganronpa, some of the cases can plague my thoughts until I finish them).

For some reason, I can't think of any exact examples now, although, games with melancholy endings tend to stick in my mind quite easily. The general 'and everything went alright from then on, until the possible sequel' isn't really memorable except in a few circumstances.

Hotline Miami had a pretty cool ending if you like looking into the subtext of it.

Yo when Smash Bros 3ds comes out are you guys up for a GTM tournament?

Sounds like fun... assuming they impliment an easy way to do tournament's online. Although, I suppose that it's nothing that can't be solved with a Skype group and a Challonge bracket... assuming they make it easy to create games with people on your friend list.

Put them in ONE post.
But that would be smart and make sense.

Actually, it would be more logical to just create a general 'Games Chat Room' thread for general discussion of various games/games you are playing now/have recently played/games you enjoy, and then leave normal threads for games that are more widely talked about (see; Pokemon thread).

Chatterbox / Re: Virtual Rape
« on: August 31, 2014, 12:27:39 PM »
besides why the hell would a rape victim play one of these mods ?

What they seem to be saying is that it isn't a mod and that it is actually hackers making it so that this sort of thing could happen to anybody who went on to the server. Although, one would think that the animations would have to be client-side in order to work (unless they made it so that the server automatically puts those animations client-side upon logging in, which doesn't seem feasible). Besides, the animation looks about the same quality as the Gmod rape weapon you can download (which is probably because they just gave the players the same animations for the dog humping the other dog (which happens pretty early-game in GTAV)).

I still don't think that the kid in the background was over 12/15/whatever the age rating for WWE games is these days.

that was a ufc game mind you

Well, assuming it is UFC 2014 (a safe bet since that video was uploaded 5 days ago), that is a 16+ in Britain, which I assume would come under the blanket rating of 'teen' in America. So I stand corrected,unless he is younger than 12.

Current faith in humanity:
Imperfection -->------------------------ Jesus Christ
SJWs will cause the death of all modern media.

SJWs are just a bunch of misandristic matriarchal bullsh**ters. Plus, the way to keep kids safe is to not let them play games that are outside of their age range. Or at least, if you do, don't then go on to blame everybody else when something bad happens 'because' of it. Besides, they're wrong for saying that the PS3 has less privacy controls, if someone under 18 (or the age of being a legal adult in whicheve country you are in, and assuming they put their actual age in as opposed to one that makes them seem older than they are), then a parent needs to authorise it (usually by having their own account).

I still don't think that the kid in the background was over 12/15/whatever the age rating for WWE games is these days.

But this is a video game, How is any of this new at all?

Because 'muh triggers' or something... I still don't get this whole triggers thing. Is it just PTSD for people who have had bad things happen to them?

I have a disc for Creatures 2, and, when I was younger, I remember getting quite annoyed when the AI decided to go a bit naff and they decided that they would just not be able to find the path to where I wanted them to go. I do remember enjoying it though.

I've just started playing this again, and I know I should be trying to change the future, but there are also too many sidequests that are taunting me.

Reported for child porn.
so now we know that jonzu is into throttling little kids...
gagging =/= throttling
Well they've both got to do with breathing right?
Rimjob = Anal Fisting
Well they've both got to do with an ass right?
And you would know this how?

The internet is really really great... for porn... and also information about things that you are unlikely to experience first hand. I also think that wikipedia has various pages on such things.

Playground

But this is Chatterbox. I think you may have meant to say 'none of Junkyard', or in fact, 'no part of GTM is a hugbox. Not even threads for such things'.
