Everyone says that motors on skirt hinges are fail in DSL. I can't attach them to the skirts anyway since they are only 80CM.

Thanks NFX, I didn't know that. Here's what I did to it. I tried to get the best angle that I could. The motor is angled down 2 clicks which might be too much or not enough. But not being able to self right is becoming an issue

Ok so i believe I "lightened up" the extender work. The new problem is that it's unrealistic. Just wondering, should I angle the flipper segment up one more "click" so that the motor is higher and I can change the angle of the skirts?

When you guys say lighten, do you mean to downgrade the type certain extenders, or use less extenders?

Ok here's my newest VS: Acute Pain! Same chassis and armor as Black Death. (Plastic 5) Titanium 80 CM skirts, 40cm steel extender that attaches to the motor, titanium 20cm skirt attachments. Based on Doomkiller's CCIV entry which can be found here: Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I was hoping to be able to protect the bottom of the motor as well. I added a castor to the bottom of the bot to have a somewhat "invincible" bottom. I like the finished product a lot thanks to everyone who helped

Seems like this is working well for the time being. I personally like it. 30 to 40 DSL bar on a polycarb 20cm extender. The extender isn't exposed too much, it never gets hit.

I like both ideas a lot, but I have a new issue: The weapon motor is knocked off very easily. Is there anything I can do about that?
Edit: It appears I had lighter armor than aluminum 3 when I took the last bot shot. So with plastic 5 and titanium 80cm skirts, it only weighs 132.? So there's a lot of extra weight

Re-sized everything and kept it realistic! Large Perm 80, Aluminum 3 Armour, 80CM Aluminum skirts, and PLENTY of weight left over. Hmm...
