I don't get it...or care really.

That's because you're unaware of the context.

Who said that?

Someone on another site.

So my local game shop was relocating to another part of the shopping centre due to the part it was at now was quite out of the way and because of it alot of games went down on price for it.
So I bought all these for £75

(Image removed from quote.)

Burnout Paradise - £5
Final Fantasy 13-2  - £10
Assassins Creed Heritage Collection - £35
Fire Emblem Awakening - £25

And that's half of my EMA bonus gone.
£75 for four games!?

Fifa 95 (Mega Drive) - £0.99
Robot Wars: Metal Mayhem (GBC) - £1.99
Colin McRae Rally 3 (Xbox) - 49p
Krustys Super Fun House (Mega drive) - £2.99

£5.46

So, buying 4 new games (one of which looks to have Assassins Creed, I-III plus Brotherhood and Revelations and is also relatively new), with the other expensive one being out for a current gen handheld, the cheapest was released at the beginning of the PS3 era, and the other being a game which is presumably quite cheap because everyone traded it in at the same time so they had high stocks, with all games being bought for consoles that he owns and are all games that he wants is more expensive than buying four old games for consoles that he may not own, and all four games being ones that he may not want (or may not want to re-purchase)? Who'd'a thunk it?

I can one-up you though:

Fifa 96 (PS1) - 49p
Fifa 97 (PS1) - 49p
Fifa 98 (PS1) - 49p
Fifa 99 (PS1) - 49p

£1.96

Plus he could actually play those games (unless he does have all the consoles you mentioned, in which case, disregard that sentence). It's easy enough to pick four games that would come up cheaper than £75, even if you were limited to last gen consoles (PS3, 360, Wii, DS, PSP).

I can one-up RPJK as well because I'll be spending £80 on one game on the 14th of March.

I can beat that.

Download 4 ROMS, £0 spent.

But seriously, this is a shameful attempt.

Stop replying to this thread and giving him the attention he wants. Let him announce his departure, and move on.

James Avery has died. Very sad, he was only 65.

He played Uncle Phil in the Fresh Prince of Bel Air if you didn't know.

I was actually trying to win Most Annoying, mostly for the lulz. When I was pretty sure that I had won, I decided to stop trolling.

No real update; on the bright side, comparing with similar skiing injuries, those who have suffered have managed to go on to live a healthy life.

Jonzu, Schumacher's been pretty badly hurt in a skiing accident.
old news

At the time, it was relatively new.

But ****, I hope he pulls through. He was one of my earliest childhood icons.

Loser Bracket could potentially be fun. I'll think about adding it, although it will increase my work load a fair amount.

Overview:
I've actually felt like hosting a tournament for a while, but I wanted to be more dynamic than simply "lol, single elimination, 16 bots, fight for winrar". I wanted to try and make something entirely new that hasn't really been done before. Most of my ideas lacked originality for a RA2 tourney, but eventually, I thought of a concept that had never been done before, and this is what I'm going to present to you today.

The Rules:
1: 16 entrants. However, each entrant MUST build 3 robots to compete in the tournament.
2: DSL Middleweight. DSL Standard realistic.
3: Please AI your own robots. I only know basic AI techniques, so only ask me if you don't have any idea at all how to AI your robots (to which I would refer you to the AIing guide for future reference)
4: Cheatbot2 and Custom Components are not allowed.
5: Other than skinning, there is to be no modifications outside of the bot lab, including but not limited to BFE, AAM, Thyrus Glitch, ZeroG and Text Editing.
6: ALL GLITCHES ARE PROHIBITED. NO EXCEPTIONS.
7: Your robot must have controlled movement, or it will not be allowed.
8: Clusterbots are prohibited.
9: These matches will take place in the DSL Tournament Arena, as per usual. Hazards will be off.
10: Should you havok once during a match, the match will be restarted. Should you havok again, you will forfeit the match.
11: Matches will be 3 minutes long.
12: Once you have sent your robot, that is it. No more upgrades, so make sure it is in full working order before sending it to me.
13: The interesting part; the tournament format. Whilst the bracket will follow a normal 1 vs 1 single elimination structure, battles will take place as follows:

Before your match, you must list your 3 robots in order of robot you wish to start with, to final robot you wish to use. Failure to meet deadline will result in your list being randomized by myself. You must PM this information and not make it public.

The robots that you both chose first will be the first to fight. Once a robot of yours loses, your next one will assume its place, and vice versa. Once all 3 of a team's robots are eliminated, the match is won/lost.

However, after winning a match, YOU MUST REPLACE A ROBOT OF YOURS WITH A ROBOT OF THE LOSING TEAM. You get a completely independent choice here. Failure to meet deadline will result in me picking by random for you.

Modifications / Re: Action Cam (public release)

So it's basically an AI camera that follows the action automatically?

Seems interesting enough; I might test it in the upcoming days, maybe do some videos with it.
