Let's be honest, here. Minecraft isn't going to be truly loved until Notch decides to get his brain working and try doing something to reduce the lag. Think otherwise? I don't care, I'm sick of the lag. Whenever I try to play Minecraft it always lags my computer down the  .
How old is the computer?
What else are you trying to run at the same time?
What graphics settings do you have Minecraft on?
What is your render distance set to?
computer from 2007, only running minecraft and skype, my graphics are the lowest as possible, and render distance is normal. my computer sucks, doesn't it? Besides, I have too much stuff downloaded anyway.

How I make MC server?
you need the server software, it's REALLY complicated. and some of it depends on the router you use, really. Having the server up WILL lag your computer more then minecraft itself. I should know. I tried. But other then that, you're best watching a tutorial on Youtube. Have fun.

I have a ROBLOX account, the thing is, I can't really play it anymore, my computer doesn't seem to like it, and apparently, I have a good one, it also lags my internet to the limit that I can't really be on Skype. It's full of noobs. hackers. selfish ignorant brats, and 10 year olds that shouldn't even be allowed on the internet in the first place!

Bust-a-Move 4 is epic!
And hard, and freaking hard. I never could unlock all characters or beat the story mode. Even after being addicted for like, a year or something. I loved everything, the characters, the music, the graphics. Truly an awesome game to play. The best Bust A move / Puzzle Bobble game

I'm pretty sure my first game was Super Mario 64 :D
But some my other old games were:
Spyro the Dragon (I got the second & third ones later.)
Crash Bandicoot (Also got the second & third ones later. And Crash Bash & Crash Team Racing.)
Donkey Kong 64 (The only Donkey Kong game I have.)
and Blasto (I thought they were gonna make a second one, but they didn't :/
If it was mario 64 I'll respect you forever. My first was Bust a move 4 yet my first console was a freaking Nintendo 64. Ironic, isn't it?

Yeah, I love minecraft, Just one thing I have my mind on, and that's herobrine. Other then that, here's a tip, if you are on a multiplayer server hosted with a bad connection, Do not use too many pistons. It can glitch the server.

God you're dumb. I was being completely sarcastic. The entire point of this thread was sarcasm, I've been playing minecraft since it was like 3 blocks.
