Thanks for that suggestion, went for a similar turnigy in the end.
Anyway The stuff's here: Includes a 1.3 amp 45-90c nano-tech, a 1400kv 2826 turnigy and a 40a ESC, plus two eBay 1000rpm motors, a sabretooth 2x5 and a dx4 receiver. Please note that the wiring is by no means final, its only a test rig. No wheels yet, but any recommendations? Looking at either smallest banebots or small foam wheels. 51

Usually, when a bot gets no replies, its because either no-one can really find anything interesting to say about it or no-one sees a way it could improve.
Both look okay, what's the flipper segments on bull for though? I think sheets or a shell segment would be better used there. 52

So is that a bar spinner or a block spinner? :P
Looking forward to it. 53

SnS weapons don't have to be on the same line you know, you can offset them but they must be balanced. Look at Badnik's Lilapsophobia or Kos' Insta Swap for recent examples.

You may want to just use two anchors to attach the motors. Less havok, more sweep.
Good effort though. 56

Full inch for the sides, half for the top/bottom. Extremely thick for the weight, but would go up to something like 2 and 1 inches respectively if I built to the limit (which I will next time). The wedge is 4mm aluminium, few scratches but hardy enough.
Actually, I'm pretty happy with the weight. Means it flies well :P Can anyone with a beetle spinner tell me what they use for the weapon motor please? Need some suggestions to go of. 57

*Blows dust off topic*
Well, ignore those last few posts. Here's the finished robot: ![]() ![]() ![]() Uses that one amp drill battery pack, runs for a good length of time before dying. A sabretooth 2X25 lies underneath that fan, that black thing on the back corner is the surprisingly stable link (never even came loose) and it weights 4.1kg. The bot was more of a trial to see if I can do these things, and it turned out well. I'm happy with it. DoorWedge is it's name, and DoorWedge 2 should fare much better in the arena than this run-around. Also drawing up some beetle sketches, left the ones I did last week in France but I remember them well. 58
