Nuts was fun and it's great to see a team that doesn't take itself seriously. I'm glad they went with nuts and not another wedge flipper.

Bot Blast was awesome.
I'm a bit bummed that the new Slim Pickens didn't do as well as i would've hoped, but now I know its weaknesses. 1 win, 2 losses.
But holy crap, Thunder Child was amazing. It took on 3 of the deadliest beetleweight horizontals (BEST KOREA, Circuit Breaker, and Silent Spring), and survived all of them. Only things I needed to replace were a motor, a side panel, and the original top plate I've used since 2013. 6 wins, 0 losses.
One of the biggest highlights of the event was a young boy (7-8 I think) who was at his first event, and was having the time of his life. Not only did he get to meet people that were on Battlebots, but he also won the antweight rumble.
Here's the intense final between myself and Silent Spring, belonging to Jamison Go (of Sawblaze and Overhaul fame).

I won a BattleBots-related Make magazine contest on twitter. It looks like they're doing one every week*

Do we have any members from here on the show or participated?
MikeNCR was there, and so was SKBT. I was going to be on a team but we nearly got accepted.

Some Tweets on the Chomp fight:

That's still bullsh**. I guess the judges considered aggression to mean "completely miss the other bot with your hammer".
The fact that Disco Inferno didn't get a wildcard and Lisa's giant red sand box got one really gangbangs my gopher. This Ministry of Truth "Selection Committee" is on some real weird sh** here. You can have your opinions about the Chomp vs Disco Inferno fight but you should atleast think that the loser should get another fight. Damn...
From what I've read, aggression is all about your main weapon, and if your main weapon fails your kinda SOL.
The Sawblaze vs Razorback desicion was just as bad if not worse imo. Razorback's a cool bot though, so I'm not too upset over it. That's some crap rule. It's like in football/soccer if people considered Giroud a better player than Iniesta because he scores more goals. This was ill conceived.
iirc the new rule came from the feedback regarding Bite Force not using its active weapon during a majority of its fights.

And Titanomyrma has now been halted for another year I simply am not exactly the smart type
The majority of your posts regarding this bot across all forums and social media have been nothing but you acting all negative despite barely trying to accomplish anything. You work a little bit, get upset, and then come online to put yourself down as if that makes anything better. You can sit around and continue to call yourself names, or you can keep trying and actually get something done. I've gone through that sort of stuff before, and it gets me nowhere. All it does is waste time that could be better spent giving it a try. and anyways it would just be a block.
No one cares that it's a brick. It's your first bot, no one is expecting a masterpiece. Having a working bot is much better than a vapor bot that never gets made. This was my first bot. It came from a kit, but the top armor was finished the night before the event. My dad and I could have given up, but we didn't. It got second place at the event.

As always, glad to see my friends on TV. I didn't like the fact that they said who voted for which bot during the chomp decision. It seemed unnecessary (and for drama, obviously) and I don't think people should know unless the judges are willing to say.

Awesome to see more of my friends from events that are going to be on tv!

I think it's likely that they kept it that style just so it is easily recognizable as the fan favorite that it was in the past.
This is most likely the case. You need to have at least one classic BattleBot.

I wonder how well a Viper kit can take hits from a bot three times its size. The Vipers are well built, but not THAT well built. Best of luck though.
Not well

Honestly my favorite part was seeing all my friends on TV (from Blacksmith, Lycan, Scorpios, and Bad Kitty)
