Off-Topic Discussion / Re: The General Chatter Thread.

Have I ever told you the Queen stopped me from leaving my street once?
No, but I do remember the time your parents tricked you into eating mouldy bread.

****, I still throw up thinking about it.

****ING INCOMPETENT BASTARDS

sh** what was the rest?
You found a piece of bread on the kitchen table, ate it and then realized that the bottom side of the bread was moldy.

Actually it was in the bag, I made a sandwhich and realized it was out of date when I took a bite out of it.

They actually said "cut the mould off".

Still want to know the rest of that rant.

Discussion / Re: Naryar's Hybrid Generator
« on: September 18, 2014, 09:02:15 AM »
You could arguably do that, though why would someone hybrid a crawler with anything else (maybe crawler/top spinner) and no one but n00bs builds bots that attack from the back anyways. Well, if you don't count SnS.

Side left and right could be put into the same category.

And a whole category for bottom bots is somewhat a lot, i mean no one builds them. It could help for originality but apart from downwards pokers/FG there's not much.

Crawlers can have controlled movement, look at my latest two bots.

Well then they's have to find a way, won't they?

I feel as though it would be somewhat easier to list attack methods and directions rather than bot types.

Attack directions - Example types:

upwards - VS
forwards - Rammers/pokers
side (Both) - most HS/Side hammers/trapper pokers
side (left) - Single HS
side (right) - Single HS
top - Any gutripper
bottom - Flying Guillotine
down - Hammer
back - most rumble built bots
all over - Crawlers

From there you can specify how to attack.

Nobody charges Hovercrafts, which is annoying since they are usually weak from below. I've killed way too many in one hit because of the fact they only have 1 bottom layer or no armour there.

Not according to the newbies.

Also, so many unique bots I see.

That essentially what counterpicks are.

For instance, Hammers are counterpicks to Rammers.

Rammers are more popular and get further than hammers usually, but a well made hammer is usually going to go far. Not Juggler or Popup level good, but good enough to go far.

123 has it right, ish.

RPS effect has no meaning when there are 50 other possible matchups and Rock beats 25 of them while Paper only beats 3.

The reason I linked the smash table was for that reason, a lot of mid to low tier fighters are counter-picks to larger ones. Same goes for pokemon.

Ugh just got linked here so here is a bump and a shut up.

  • Tier lists aren't in general and this one sucks.
  • It misses out bot types, it misses out weight classes and it only gives a passing mention to arenas.
  • Here is a character table. Superior in every way to a list. Read it.
  • IRL isn't a mod, it's a style. Stock and Ironforge can do it too.
  • HS aren't broken, ask any juggler or popup in both Enclosed and non-enclosed arenas, you utter morons.

You know what? Apart from the fact the wedges are most likely going to be bad, I like the look of that bot.

Yeah nobody will seriously choose IRL antweights.

Antweights are boring enough without IRL thrown in. 1 iron only?

There was that no repairs thing Ironbot did when click took away all the components that broke each round.
