That's what I was planning... I was talking about the bot creation in this poll, not the bits afterwards.

So any suggestions for the bot or changes to the weight class?

We can't make anything too tourney-esque.

OK, what on earth is this about?
Well, I decided that in DSL (especially LW or below), it may be possible to make the ultimate robot.

How are we going to find it?
Through your input we shall discuss what is needed for this robot which shall be DSL LW. I or someone else who is free then shall make the robot as close to our specifications a s possible. Once we are happy, the bot is complete!

Then what?
Next, to the challenge board! Anyone who thinks they can make a better robot will challenge the "Ultimate Robot" to a best of 3 match in the BBEANS V2 arena. Hopefully our bot will win. If not, the challenger will become the ultimate robot, and so on until nobody believes they can beat it. Or we could have it so the Ultimate robot can be tweaked to iron out flaws if it loses.

What if we just get loads of robots built just to counter the ultimate robot?
Then, erm, we hope we win! This may just end up with an endless cycle of bots but maybe it will work! If not, at least we ended up with a good robot...

So what is my suggestion?
Since wedges are so vital for most bots, I say make a wedge killer. Flail SnS's look good at the moment.

NOTE: I don't think we should allow things such as crawlers and bumble balls.

So, what are your ideas?

POLL 1: How shall we run this? Will be up soon, feel free to suggest more ideas for finding the ultimate robot.

I have no idea where the AI bots from splash #12 are from though. <_> (I probably should XD)
I believe it's from Inf AI, I can't heck though as my computer with it on is dead.
I could guess who made a few of these but I fear the wrath of ACAMS.

Stop hinting at your bot or ACAMS will eat you.

Everyone's like 'sex' but I don't see that as an aim for right at the moment. I'll probably enjoy it when I get to it but it's not a life aim (Well, kinda but you'll see)

1) Become a father
Can't have one without the other really.... (well unless you want so artificial thing)

What I want to do before I die? Live.

Here's Clickbeetle's BOTM bot that introduced us to the concept.

Bad extender work on LW but its good.

Whoever this guy is, I think he got off to the best start at advice-giving that any newbie ever has...

 :welcome

Indeed, as much as I knew there'd be a comment like that. :P

Anyway, was bored and messing around with concepts:

It's complete fail, but wanted to see if AW inertia side hammers are possible. They probably are, but their effectiveness is questionable. :P
Yeah I showcased a HW one but it never worked. Click tested many inertia things and said that only flippers were effective.

Well, what is there to say? Year 17 IRL

I went away for the Easter weekend so I missed doing what SOTG asked me to do.. that was up your rep to 18.. but your 17 :/

are you going backwards in age ?
No, I am 18, but I was referencing the 17 years before that, considering year 18 has only just begun   :approve:

And S_M? I'll put your name in now.
Thx and, you are starting your 19th year on this earth actually.
