If there are no rules that you guys think need changed by this evening then I'll give it the green tick.

Fun fact: Stonebaked was the only award winner not to be linked with Round One Battle Three.

The more you know...

Remove the yeah from that. Thats my opinion. Also How do i gt the SFTW award when Invalidy instantly fell over, and Prof face planted early on, plus If it was not for Onslaught, Heavy Metal would have been killex
by Carnivore.
Oh hush.

Invalidy looked interesting and IRL, your's looked like a mess and only barely IRL.
Professor Alien was a crowd favourite and wasn't expected to do well.

Also I'm pretty sure your utter arrogance and lack of sportsmanship had a heavy contribution to it as well.

Another thing, if it were not for Onslaught being in the battle then a different robot - Articulator 2, Pestilence, Stonebaked, etc - would have been in it's place and the tournament would have been completely different. So if you weren't in the fight, Carnivore could well have been destroyed by Panxhar 2, then thrown out all the same. If you had been replaced by a robot, what's not to say that your's would have been utterly wrecked by the other two? Consider yourself lucky you made it past the first elimination of the battle.

Well I presume its a static windup key. could be wrong
it's on a copal

edit: ninja'd by jet

anyway kurty-kun I personally think you should put the key on a servo
But Kossy... They are much heavier and the Copal spins slow enough anyway...

So I was messing around with tournament concepts in my head, and then I remembered there was a TV show with a similar premise, so I took the title.

RULES
Game - DSL 2.1
Weight - Middleweight
Realistic Rule - IRL Realistic
TWO ROBOTS per entrant is required.
16 entrants, so 32 robots. (See battle rules.)
If you can't AI, I will AI for you, just don't get whingey if your robot doesn't win.
You can't enter until I have received and accepted your robot.

BUILDING RULES
Middleweight class robots only. 249.0kg - 399.0kg
Only in game glitches are allowed -  eFFe Glitching, Axle Loading and Snapper Loading.
No external editing at all - BFE, AAM and so on.
Must have at least 2 wheels for controlled movement.
Tracked robots are eligible, the weight cushion is - The actual treads only count for half their real weight.
No scuttlers, crawlers or walkers.
Multibots are banned for obvious reasons.
No unrealistic weapon sizes and quantities.
You can upgrade your robot or send a new one as often as you like until signups end.
Judge Bursts and MOE motors are the only non-wheel Cheatbot2 components allowed. All wheels allowed.
One Judge Burst per bot.

BATTLE RULES
3 minute fights.
Official Robot Arena 2 Tournament arena, I might reskin it again.
Hazards on.
If a robot havoks then I will restart the match. I will keep restarting until there is a havok-free match. Fights with havoks will not be shown.

Arena

Round One - 32 robots from 16 entrants are put into completely randomised teams. Two teams will be pitted against each other and the two robots from the winning team move on to Round Two. There will be 8 battles with 4 robots in each.
Round Two - 16 robots are now left and are taken away from their first round partner and given another randomised one. The 8 new teams will compete in 4 battles, the winning team go through.
Round Three - 8 robots left and teams are randomised again. 2 battles with 2 teams, winning 2 teams advance.
Grand Final - Only 4 robots are left now, teams are randomised again and the winning team are declared overall champions.

Judging will be done by me.
Each team will be given a mark out of 10 for Style, Control, Damage, Aggression, and Teamwork, so a maximum of 50 points in total for each team.

SIGNUPS ARE CLOSED

Put the gear on the drive system and the VS so it only spins when the bot moves or the weapon spins.
Already did that, is there any component that is the same size as a hex plate but round?

And now as the Awards thread is now anything but active it is time for me to reveal our special awards winners.

That's it from Breaking Point, my first tournament has drawn to a close. Thanks to all 15 participants for participating, and thanks to everyone who watched it for watching it.

I'll be back in a month or so with another tournament, Tag-Team style.
