Hello and good evening to you. I have three ideas for tournaments. This first one takes RA2 to the skies! I call it: RA2 Dogfight. The tournament is Stock HW, standard building rules (no non-asthetic BFE, no AAM, no Hax Mode, all non-cheatbot2 parts allowed). The catch? Your bot must be able to fly. In other words, it MUST have a hovercraft engine on it (or more, I don't care how many are on it as long as it is at least one). Other rules may include: - Multibots allowed, must be 2-part, one bot goes down then the whole bot is out.
- Flippers, popups, jugglers, and wammers are ineffective, allowed if you can make it work.
- Bots must have at least one air tank for flying.
- To clarify on which components are allowed, it is everything in Stock EXCEPT FOR the cannon, flamethrower, and the magnet.
- Smartzones do not count as weight
RA2 one is similar to Dogfight, except instead of requiring a hovercraft engine, you are required to have a Powered Steering Unit. That's right, forced car steering! Rules if Stock: - Stock MW, standard Stock building rules (NO BFE, NO AAM, NO HAX MODE, NO cheatbot2, no custom components, etc.)
- Smartzones don't count as weght.
- Your PSU must be used for steering.
- The PSU does not count as weight
Rules if DSL: - DSL 2.1 Cruiserweight (up to 600kg), Standard building rules
- Standard rule excepted for the PSU
- The PSU does count as weight
Weapons - S3 Disc
- Matilda Teeth
- diablodrum
Extenders - All stock extenders
- Matilda flywheel
Wheels - All replica wheels (including beta and Thermidor wheels)
Extras - ALL replica extras except for the following:
- The Judge gavel head
- Beta battery and hammer
- Any other weapons or batteries in Extras including the stock batteries and DarkCell Batteries, which are in the power section.
- Also no Narmor
DSL 2.1 CW, standard building rules. BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE! Each user sends in a CW, but then they are randomly assigned teams of two to make a SHW Multibot. Then, they work together to defeat a SHW bot. Teams that win are advanced to the next round. Winning is one of the following: - Opponent is KO'ed (One or both user-submitted bots standing)
- Both bots survive until the end of the match AND win by points
The combined score of the two user-submitted bots must be greater than the score of the SHW
Losing is: - Both bots being KO'ed
- Time running out and only one CW is remaining
- Loss by Points
BUT WAIT THERE'S STILL MORE! At the end of each match and after each team has advanced, the bot teams will be reassigned. This shall continue until two bots remain, then they will face off against each other. Rules: - As said before, DSL 2.1 Cruiserweight, standard building rules
- No BFE, AAM, Hax mode, other forms of havok abuse, Trov/Thyrus chassis glitches, etc.
- Also no Narmor. Should be a given, but I should say it anyways.
- Also no Cheatbot2.
I am not green-ticking these because I don't know if I will have the time to start them. Thoughts?

suck huge cox
Speaking of, they keep making the ads on Jesse Cox's channel unskippable. Especially the thirty second ones.
Lol, adblock plus. But isn't it ironic that a society that thrives on change (wanting the new iPhone to come out every 30 seconds, getting mad at a DJ that played a 6-month old song) gets so riled up about the new YouTube layout? Sure, the learning curve is a pain in the ass, but I have gotten used to it many times over. On the other hand, YouTube shouldn't sporadically update their site layout. they should give a layout about 4-6 years and update it with computers.

Well, I've pretty much already lost XD
But, hey, it's my first tournament. I can't expect to win it with Venko and Ianh05 entering two bots.
Good luck to DS, LSII, and all of their opponents.

Hey guys, it's Starcore's birthday today! Happy birthday, Starcore! My Nana is dying, she'll be gone either today or tomorrow.
Bit blunt, but meh.
She's dead.
Sorry to hear that

Cutting Wedge IV UPDATE!!! Armor is Titanium 5 and there are 7 ants there. I traded armor for wedge durability. An A bsol ute I mprovement? that is arguable. But this is one of the best DSL bots I have ever built. I say that it is tournament ready. Thoughts?

Hello and good evening to you.
I think that MrAwesumsauce is worthy of the advanced user title. What do you think?

Cutting Wedge IV version 3.0 is ready to present itself to you guys at GTM. Armor is Pl 10. It is DSL-S in spite of appearances. Dell Stripes was not the inspiration for Cutting Wedge; if anything, it is the other way around. All that changed was that I made the wedge a double-hinge wedge. In truth of it all, I don't know if there is official terminology for the double-hinge wedge or not. Such a gawish thing of me to say Also, check out my stock showcase. I have some half-decent-to-not-that-bad bots and it had a much better start than this blasted showcase. you can find it here.[/ShamelessSelfPromotion] Thoughts

This thread goes bump in the night. I was in Maui for ten days and my laptop has a grudge with DSL so I had to stick with stock. But I am back now so I UPDATED! Cutting Wedge. Armor is Plastic 10. There are seven ants in this bot. I configured my USB game controller to work as a mouse. It is very wedgy now and I am happy Need I say more? Yes I do. I would like to say that "rnifnuf's DSL Cavalcade of Crap" is a DSL Standard showcase, not an IRL showcase. Please treat it as such. Thoughts?

I am 100% sure I am looking at the right folder and i realize that team2 is the third team. This is on my laptop which has some of the worst things I have ever made (e.g. a MW Hammer with two Sledges on Square extenders) in the team1 folder (which only shows Bot5) so I just used team2, the same team with my MW Popup and my much improved 36HS. Also this doesn't happen in DSL for some strange reason... I miss DSL, it just won't cooperate with my laptop Just clearing thingamabobs up. But never mind that, I solved the problem! There is a button on the Windows File Explorer called "Compatibility Files" that reveals all of the bot files! ONE-MAN DANCE PARTY! WOO!

Okay, this game is on crack on crack on speed on meth on weed on crack on shrooms on crack Take a look at this: All six slots on this team are filled, yet only bots 3-5 appear. OS is Windows 7 Home Premium and RA2 Version is 1.3 CD with no mods. What should I do to fix it?

UNLEASH HIM AGAIN!!! I took the advice of 090901 and Sage and snapper loaded the drive motors onto the Bastard. This saved 8Kg, which was used on a seventh belly caster. I already knew how to snapper load when building the Bastard, I just didn't think of doing it Technically, I would have had enough weight for a seventh belly caster, SLD (Snapper Loaded Drive) or not, but I thought that I should do what the vets suggested that I do. Now, I have some weight left over for an eighth belly caster, but I don't have anywhere on the chassis to put it Thoughts? Also... I unstacked the supervolts and used the remaining one for something else
This is the "something else" that received Dell Stripes' extra supervolt when I separated them.. I was hinting the existence of BB when I was showcasing Dell Stripes. I even said when DS first surfaced: Well, back to the old drawing board for the worst 36HS. The Worst 36HS is no longer...

I officially believe in your magical beard, Sage. 36HS take 2. Aaaaaand ACTION! I have time to fiddle around with fuddy-duddy MW popups later. For now, it is time... TIME TO UNLEASH THE BASTARD!!! Armor is DSA+6 Belly casters. Meet Bloodthirsty Bastard, my second attempt at a 36HS after the first (the one with pole spikes) failed miserably. It has everything a 36HS should have (according to the wiki): two supervolts (stacked), 4 HPZ for weapon motors, 2WD HPZ with Grannies, and DSA armor. The wiki says that a true 36HS needs to have irons or maces, but I once heard R0B0SH4RK say that the wiki is biased and is a bad resource for more seasoned builders. I'm no seasoned builder, but I agree with R0B0. There are too many holes in the wiki. For example, there is no page on the snapper2 burst motors and most of the DSL motors don't have their own pages. I mostly rely on the beetlebros. stock building tutorial and only check the wiki to learn useless crap about the other forum members. Back to the Bastard, its favorite snack is a tie between three EMERGENCIES at once and Burgerville milkshakes. Bear claws because 090901 said that they were much better than pole spikes. Also, Bear claws are more efficient (using Clickbeetle's efficiency formula) than maces IIRC. There is empty space because I originally thought that the chassis needed to be wider than it really needed to be. I won't change it because I am lazee. But hey, at least I am honest and doesn't keep secrets from people. Sage. https://gametechmods.com/forums/index.php?topic=9641.msg477874#msg477874I know that it isn't the best 36HS out there, but it is the best thing I have built in Stock so far, though it suffers from an odd glitch on the right drive motor (this pic was taken from the front of the bot) where the axle is not in its normal place and the wheel shakes whenever the axle turns. It must be karma from the Bastard's ridiculous blood lust. Highly destructive, battery lasts long enough to see its opponent/victim die, invertible, belly casters. Slow drive, exposed motors make it popup food Enough of my nOnSeNsE rambling, now it is your turn to state your opinion on the Bastard. In other words: Thoughts?

Getting so much better in such a short time!
Thank you for the compliment <-- I am like that irl, except I am not green. Also, your mute date is in my signature because I thought that it was ironic (and somewhat funny) that such a respected user got muted. I'll remove it if you want me to. Please don't hurt me if my stock bots have red extenders...

I already tried that, ty4er, and it didn't work T_T What I am going to try instead is turn the 20cm extenders that the ramplates are mounted on into 40cm ones. I shall update this post later when that is done... UPDATE: My plan to conquer the universe using only a stick widen the ramplates worked! DS is expressing his distaste in American politicians. Actually the way that the ramplates are tilted kinda reminds me of Naryar's GTM avatar. Thoughts?

Back on topic (assuming we were off-topic)... I made slight modifications to Dell Stripes. I shortened to 40cm (as opposed to 60) because if the wedges were 60cm long, then DS couldn't self-right to save a dying kitten. And so, the wedges shall remain 40cm long until I think of a way to lengthen the wedges and keep it self-righteous and a dying kitten is saved You are a liar. That skin is just fine. Your laptop had nothing to do with these supposed blue stripes.
I am not a liar! Want proof? Here is a view of Dell Stripes from the outside: I told you my laptop screwed up the skin. See, I am an honest and trustworthy person. In its defense, this thing was up in the stratosphere for five hours and originally had Windows Vista on it. Also, just in case you wanted to see/download it: This is the skin file used by Dell Stripes, converted into a PNG for your convenience. It looks really freaking freaky if you look at it from the right angle and zoom level. Thoughts?

UPDATE! On Dell Stripes. I unstacked the supervolts and used the remaining one for something else Those ramplates are on 20cm extenders. The wedges are now 60cm long. In this picture, both the DDT and the two SIIs are fired. I may not be the best RA2 builder ever, but I'm good enough to not put the wedges in that position by default. Destructive, armored front, fast, considerably wedgy, thinks that congress is full of crap. Exposed sides, a bit underpowered, razors are too freakin' fragile, Severe issues self-rightingThoughts? Also coming soon: An inquisitive LW VS that I just built. It likes to axe questions and get the answers by force.

How about... NOW!? Armor is still DSA. The supervolts were surprisingly cooperative when being stacked. I was pleased with this game AND my laptop for not crashing at all on this trip so far. Thanks to Lemonism for reminding me that one supervolt provides more power than four pinks. I used some weight saved for a ramplate. The rest of the weight saved was used for the anchor that holds the ramplate Thoughts?

Building on Dell Stripes... Armor is still DSA. I decided to downgrade the snapper2s to the blue snappers to save some weight. The weight saved was used to add two more pink batteries (They are stacked). Then, I replaced the irons with Bear Claws, all elegantly eFFed on black extenders. This isn't as wedgy as I hoped, though it is still okay. Thoughts? Coming soon: A better 36HS than the one I showcased earlier. Speaking of the worst 36HS... 1. why the christ aren't you using dsa? Don't tell me you don't have enough weight. I tried using DSA on Worst 36HS... it weighed 802 kgs T_T
