^^agreed^^

On the LW, you could definitely improve on extender work, namely by swapping the T-connector for a round extender to gain weight for a 6th razor tip.  The extender setup won't be centered with the chassis, but on a design like this it won't matter.

While Vlad spikes do have a higher DP than Robot X Sais, Sais are stronger, thus better in my opinion.  I say keep the Sais.

Are you sure that isn't too much speed and weight on the BSGs?  In my opinion it would be better to downgrade to 4WD and use another pair of BSGs for the weapons.

I had just realized that Gammaraze V had AGOD   ::2mad

So I made a new one:

It uses the same internal setup as the first one, but I managed to gain enough weight to upgrade the wedges, and it now has an aluminum skirt at the back to increase stability.

WAIT WHAT.

Huh.

Well, I'll have to rename it.
No you won't.

Scrap's bot is an AW, and it's called "The Prodigy", not just Prodigy.  It might cause some confusion since their names are very similar, but still you don't have to rename your bot.

As for the bots themselves:

The VSs - They look a little fragile, but decently built.

Wyndmill - How good is it anyway?  I'd imagine it dealing low damage since it has a lot of weight on the weapon motor (which I'm guessing is a Dual-Mag), and uses those weapons.

Diamond Cutter 5 - Um... does anyone have an extra pair of pants?

Perfect Cherry Blossom - I can't see much from the preview image, but it looks under-weaponed.

You only need 4 ants.  Remove one ant and upgrade to Astroflights.

He used multi-extenders.

3mm plastic, NPC fasts, 3 PC645s and 3 ants.

Haven't really built anything good in DSL recently.  This is the most decent thing I've built in DSL over the past month.  Still its wedge is pretty good and it's quite the flipper despite being underpowered.

Are the ramplates really useful ?
Yes, because HSs tend to hit towards the drive a lot when the outer racks have been worn out, so it helps to have those ramplates there.
I would follow Sage's advice. Oh, and thanks. You just gave me an idea for a new bot. :D
You're welcome!

I would angle the setup more, but I can't afford to use angle connectors because I wouldn't be able to attach as many weapons (rule of 7).  Using regular 20cm extenders might work, but I think the setup would be much less efficient, so I'll keep it as it is.  Besides, wider weapons tend to work better against HSs.

Ooh boy this showcase is dusty.

1 black, 36 Maces, DSA, 4WD HPZ

Another mace rammer, but considerably better than my other ones, mostly because this one has a wedge.  I haven't tested it under AI control yet, but so far it seems to beat wedges and HSs consistently.

*goes to AI with Pinner.py*

2WD NPCFast/Techno drive, but is there any explanation for why these make the bot faster than say Tornado's or Vlad's?
DSL wheels all have a 'grip' value; the higher the grip, the faster a bot will travel.  Technos have a grip value of 2.3, while Vlads and Tornados have a grip of only 1.3.

As for the bot, the only thing I could suggest without ruining the style would be to upgrade to large JX burst motors.

Welcome to GTM!

There are a few things I can't tell from the pics; next time make the screen shots larger and display the weight (I'll give you credit for cropping them though).

From what I can see though, it could definitely use some improvements.

For starters, multidirectional weaponry is not very good on wedges.  Either move the weaponry up front or get rid of them altogether and make it a pure flipper.

If you choose the latter, consider getting stronger burst motors (ideally large JX motors, since this looks to me like an underweight HW) and staying away from Mag Snappers altogether (they're as strong as BSGs, but weigh more and retract slower).

It also needs to be faster.  Use 4WD NPC fasts with hypno wheels or 2WD NPC fasts with technos (I personally prefer the latter since it gives you more weight to work with while still being fairly fast).

Finally, it looks underpowered.  The general rule for powering spin motors is to use 1 ant battery per spin motor, but burst motors need more power than that (they need about the same amount of power as it says in their descriptions, maybe less).

76th... not too bad, but I'll need to make a lot of improvements next BBEANS, if there will be one that is.

If so, COOLRUNNER YOU WILL PAY!!!!!!!
