It would appear that the flipper segment is relatively hollow on the bottom, likely to allow for clearance of the internals. Any plate you put in place would likely interfere with that fitment, making the wedge have even more clearance from the floor.

hurting someone's feelings != crime
http://injury.findlaw.com/torts-and-personal-injuries/intentional-infliction-of-emotional-distress.html

"...the actor must intend to cause severe emotional distress or know that severe emotional distress is likely to occur."

Get to the point where life is going so badly wrong that you'd rather end your own existence than suffer through another day: Not a victim.

This isn't really what I meant.

David Mitchell said a great thing about timorous and reckless people on WILTY. He said warnings are put in place in order to create order for the reckless people. However, that leaves the timorous ones in a state of 'perpetual terror'. So, I think that, even though rehab is very good and should be used with prisoners, I do believe punishment should exist as a deterrent to even commit any crime. So, in the end, in theory, all the timorous people won't even consider committing a crime, whilst the reckless ones are significantly deterred.

This is why i said some but not all. Was simply stating that punishment wasn't the only or best answer.

No victim, no crime.

Eh, it isn't quite the victimless crime it appears to be on the surface. There can be a significant amount of emotional trauma inflicted on friends and family.

Some of the questions are better but it's a pain in the arse when they ask you how you feel about 2 things in the same question, an example being, "Do you think that euthanasia and suicide should be legal?". I agree with one but not the other.
I don't understand why you wouldn't want suicide to be legal, like... what are you gonna do, throw the corpse in jail? Oh, that'll teach it a lesson :dumb)

idk it's 2am and I'm tired, I'll fill this in tomorrow

It's about the act of trying to do it. Should there be a punishment for it if you try?

Punishment as a result of crime is an antiquated system anyways. In a significant number (not all) cases, some form of rehabilitation would be much more productive.

@Mouldy, your opinion is hella shallow and also extremely over-simplistic. You don't need to work to contribute to the economy. All the economy is is purchasing and selling of goods. As long as you're spending money, you're putting money in somebody else's pocket.

Worst 2016 member me

Your self loathing in attempts to receive negative attention is really getting old. I strongly suggest you cut it out.

Neil Cicierega has a new mashup album. I like it.

Some of the tracks are pretty hilarious. A few aren't great.

Mountain Man is a really rad concept. I appreciate the heightened level of detail in the face of the mountain in contrast to the rest of the image, really helps to cement it as the focal point. Part of me wishes the two figures were about 75% of the size they currently are. It would sort of add to the bleak feeling you have going on. I also might suggest that the sky feels a little bit like an afterthought, like it's a little bit lacking. I know that counters what I said prior, but right now there's not much of a reason for my eye to travel to the top of the composition.

I've actually had this problem the last time I started building again, I believe around GTMCS time, and tried switching between windowed and full screen and that did not solve the issue on my end. Hardly play so it doesn't really matter, just really strange.

One last thing I forgot to mention, I have absolutely no problem with Banter Wars or any of the people involved, and I suggest to the rest of the community to either express your opinions on what AHOG is doing on his own personal youtube channel either civilly, or not at all.

This should be fine, as long as we aren't given a reason to believe otherwise.

All warnings being issued are being curbed somewhat because this is in chatterbox and not the main forum.

Badnik- Sort of the start of the drama in this thread, although I personally find your post in regards to the mod being used relatively harmless. I would simply suggest that you voice your opinions a little more eloquently in the future, knowing how easily triggered our userbase is.

Badger- I appreciate you not going off in this thread after someone namedropped you. The only tick against you in this case is that you responded at all, although I totally understand your point of view.

Jamied- I know you haven't been around long, but you simply cannot go around fueling flame wars like this. 20% warn issued, nerfed extensively for a first offense. Normally this would be 40-80%

FBI- Not heavily involved, but vague threats to other GTM users cannot go unpunished. 30% Warning issued. Next time I'll double it regardless of where it takes place.

Avalanche- Plenty of your posts in this thread were totally reasonable. Plenty of them were not. You know exactly how you should be handling yourself, and yet despite everything this community has done to give you chance after chance, things like this keep happening. I didn't make the forum news post a week or so ago for my own personal health. In this thread you have racked up: 80% warning for repeated involvement in a flame war. An additional 20% warning for a recent ban. An additional 10% warning due to a warning within the last 30 days. (I'm being nice and not including 10% for the verbal warning in my news post, as you weren't named by name.) I'll take 20% off the top for where in the forum this took place, leaving you with 110% warning. This earns you a 1 month ban, minimum, and due to your recent conduct I'm proposing a staff review so we can decide if you're actually worth the trouble of keeping around in this community anymore.

This is.... wow... uh... really dumb?

Locking this before the autism kicks up a notch.

If you have a problem with Guldenflame posting about this (for some half-ass reason,) you can bring it up to him personally, instead of sperging out on my forum.

Site News and Feedback / Please Read: A Reminder
« on: January 06, 2017, 08:22:51 PM »
I would like to remind everyone that just because we all hang out in discord with our friends, play games together, etc, that this does not give you the right to break rules and act out. Some things have been going on in the past few weeks that aren't going to fly.

We don't need vigilantes who don't know their place popping up in every thread barking orders.

We don't need people reporting posts because A. They think it's funny or B. They got a little triggered. This is a real function that the staff uses to work on the forum, and if you clog it up, it makes our job more difficult. This has been addressed recently, but it can't be stated enough.

We don't need people sending malicious files of any kind to other users. I don't care if it's a young kid with 2 posts or a member of the staff, it's not even a little OK. If anybody is caught doing this, you will not be welcome in this community anymore.

None of this is up for discussion.

Not at all inactive, guys. I read the forum every day, save the past week and a half because I've been ill. Honestly not a ton that needs moderating, unless you really want me to start dishing out warnings for foul language full time, which I have absolutely no problem doing.
