I have a basic mesh done, but it's just making it into an actual component that's giving me a headache. Might have to try a new mesh :/
Ah, OK. Which part is it you're making? The Flipper, the sides, or something else?

I'd just like to apologize for the drama I've been spewing out the past few days. Things IRL have gotten stressful for me and I kinda overreacted to something. Sorry guys.
Well done, Badnik- at least it's all been sorted out now.

Cassius is already giving me a headache, so gonna leave it for today and make a start on another replica xD
OK, that's fair enough. It is a bit of a complicated shape, but I'm very glad to know progress is being made on it.

Thanks man. Now trying to think of what my best approach is for this one.... might have an idea.... hmmm.....
No problem. Also, the X-Terminator pictures are on their way- they should be ready within a day or so.

Thanks, would you also happen to have a pic of the back with armour and one of the logo?
Sure thing, man.

There's a basic mockup of the logo. (Might require a little rotation)

And here's a shot of the back. Sorry it's not very clear, but it does mark out the basic details- three grey circles, the Cassius II logo, the very small red sign that goes under the spike-

and that metal strip along the bottom. Hope these help!

Actually would you mind sending over the pics of Cassius 2 that you have? I MIGHT see if I can make a good enough replica of it :P
I have an idea as to how I could make it, and it should be somewhat easy... but I would need some good images for the textures :P
I'll be happy to! Here we are-
Those are my main ones, but I can certainly provide more if necessary. I've also got this here to give a guideline on the general shape and capabilities- set it to 480p for best results.

Thanks a lot GF :D

And it might be ok... we'll see :P
Glad to be of assistance. Hopefully they should be here in a day or so, and as soon as they are, I'll send you them.

And that sounds very good, too- if you need any help with it, just let me know.  :D

Thanks! :D I'd need some side ones, back, front and top :3
Done. I've requested at least five different shots (Top, Front, Back, both Sides), so once they come through, they should be all right. Glad to be of assistance.  :D

EDIT: If a Cassius II replica is planned as well, I've got several different photos from different angles, for similar purposes. If you need them, just let me know, and I'll be happy to provide them.   :P

I think I have an idea as to how I could do Mortis, so none needed :) As for the pictures, if he is able to get some, that would be MASSIVELY appreciated! :D
OK then, that's good- looking forward to seeing it ready.  :D

In return, I'll go and ask him for you. One good turn deserves another, after all.  :P

I tried one version of Mortis already, but it failed massively. Not that I have this new method under my belt however, I may consider it ;)

As for the video, I'm trying to stay clear of videos as the detail in them is not the best.
You will? Fantastic- if it helps in the development, I'll be happy to send you a working prototype of it I made some time ago. It's got quite a good method behind it for the axe which accurately replicates its speed, so hopefully that can help you with it.

Still, I might have an idea for X-Terminator's textures. I'm in touch with the chap who currently owns it on Facebook, so I can certainly ask him for some photos of it, if you'd like.

I would quite like to do X-Terminator next, as there's only 1 axe bot so far (Dominator 2) however I don't think I'd be able to find a good enough texture for the body. If anyone can find some good pics of the body from all sides (any of the silver axe versions) then hopefully I'll be able to use them.

I would also quite like to do Bigger Brother, Panzer and The Revelutionist next :P
In the video here, there are some good resolutioned-shots of X-Terminator here-

Would those help? Also in terms of axes, I definitely think Mortis would be a good addition to the roster, one of the most feared axes in RW history. What do you think about it, Wham? Would it be possible?

With regards to my choices- As Mortis was in Arenas of Destruction, hopefully that should make it possible to take its textures/shape and base a replica on them, with the oddly-shaped bits (Like the top and the sides) and the weaponry being able to be replicated with components, like Plunderbird 5 and Suicidal Tendencies were.

As for Cassius II, there are pictures of it available from all angles, so hopefully with a little editing, that should be possible too. In any case- if it's possible to get both of them in, I can definitely die happy.   :D

Tryna think which robot should be next... hmm
Definitely Mortis and Cassius II.

And I've just seen the new Suicidal Tendencies- all I can say is, I'm very, very impressed. Very well done again, Wham.   :claping

I was thinking something like that :P Eventually maybe :P And I shall consider it ;)

On another note, someone stop me cause I am now on FIRE!!!

(Image removed from quote.)

Just needs the back, top hump and track domes and it shall be finished :P
Magnificent! All things considered, I'd thought Suicidal Tendencies would be one of the harder machines to replicate, but you've pulled it off fantastically so far. Very well done.   :claping

Hopefully. Perhaps there could be a way to mount an invisible burst motor and peg on either side of the pole's base, so that when it's needed to flip over, it could fire. Bit of a hair-brained scheme, but it might work.

And that's OK. If it does get in though, that'd be brilliant.    :D

Unfortunately the torque-reaction method is still beyond my abilities :') It kinda of does it already, but not quite like the original.

And hehe I'm sure you can guess what the next replica in progress is then ;)
OK, that's fair enough. As long as it's all there that's good, but perhaps there might be some way to achieve a similar effect.

And I don't know...Cassius 2?   :laughing

Ahhh thanks  :gawe:

But in all seriousness, it might not be for a little while. Before I can release it I need the UI to be completely finished, a few more replica bots done, and I'd love to include the robots from the upcoming RW Tournament I'm doing in the pack :)

On a note of replicas, guess who's FINALLY gotten the ASE method to work, and has made his first replicas component:

(Image removed from quote.)

This has managed to open up quite a few doors to me now. For example, here is a preview of my LW entry to said RW tournament that will use a custom component that will be available to all in the game (and tournement when it's working properlly :P)

(Image removed from quote.)

Just need to sort out the shadow problem with this claw and it should hopefully all be ok :P From there then I can hopefully work on a Suicidal Tendencies replica, maybe Kan Opener, the possibilities are endless :P
Fantastic! I love how Stinger looks with the spike, now. If it works the way it should with all the torque-reaction trickery it had in real life, I'd definitely say you've pulled off a particularly tricky replica very well.   :D

The Claws look particularly intriguing, too. I could definitely see them being used effectively for Suicidal Tendencies.  :P

Done with this site for good. Everyone's against me now there's no point in even sticking around. It's been fun but I feel my interests are better aimed elsewhere.

I will still be releasing LDAI at some point in the future, and I may enter Wham's new tourney and BB7 whenever that happens, but aside from that I'm done with posting here.
Badnik, please calm down. Don't you think that's a bit drastic?

Newest replica in progress:

(Image removed from quote.)

(The mace is just temporary atm)

The domes have been a b**** to do, but I'm already really happy with this one :D

Quick question though, does anyone know how to add more of a shine or reflection to a component? The shine strength for the domes is already set at 0.900000 but still not as shiny as I'd like. Any help?
Stinger? Ah, fantastic! As a fellow Lincolnshire-ian, it's great to see it here, too. It's looking very good so far, so it should certainly be great once the bludgeoning spike and shiny domes are ready.   :claping
