1 Black, 1 Large airtank, 4 pistons. DSA.

Wedges are fantastic, just has a really hard time killing things. There's a few things I wanna try (like moving all the pistons back so they aren't just pushing the other bot) but I think I may just use the chassis and build something else.

What do you guys think?

The irony being that it wastes weight trying to fit around everything perfectly.

How so?

Why is a bubble circular?

To have a smaller surface area.

You see, you can gain about 0.4 KG's easy by having the spot between the DDT and the rubber not bend like that.
with that gained weight, you can make a shallower chassis wedge.

RA2 is part stratagy, part awesome.

You forget that there will be more surface area on top and bottom if you make it not bend like that. The gain will not be significant. A bubble also has less volume than a square of the same radius.

Yup, but a sphere's surface-to-volume ratio is lower.

Anyways, the gain will be or not be significant depending on the heigth of the chassis. Might even be a weight loss...

...This calls for an optimization math problem. Anyone for it ? I don't feel like doing math right now

Edit: :O quote pyramid

Surface area weight and vol- Hey! This Optimazation is going a little to far, don't ya think?

You brought it up...

Well, there's just a few old programs that can't be transferred into Windows 7 if you upgrade, because they are either entrenched in the coding or just too old.

The only reason it was invented was to force people to make the perfect chassis, which is a habit that everyone must learn.

And Ounce- JoeBlo has done a lot, but I think you guys take Madiaba for granted. He does so much behind the scenes working on arenas, new AI codes, and special components. We need to give him credit for all the work he does to help out everyone on the forum.

well, you have 5 kgs. I might rework the weapons to use all the weight you have, somehow. Otherwise it looks good. Try angling the center razor upwards so it traps things.

Make the poles 20 cms. In the beginner section of the BeetleBros guide, it shows you how.

Windows 7 is better in every respect.

There is a very nice "snip" tool installed when you download it. Basically choose any area on your screen with a simple drag box and it saves it as a picture.

Right, so it will last for about 3 minutes with two blacks, and not slow down too much. As long as it's able to draw 100 PUs each second it should run as fast as possible, but my in game experience somehow tells me differently...

My next bot will have a caster setup like this. I was working on it, took a break, and now I see this. >:O

Agree with ounce on the originality part. If it had tribars instead of discs it would not be original.

On the battery, two blacks is good because with one the bot will only last for 1.5 minutes (roughly).

52000 total power / 600 power drain per second / 60 seconds per minute = 1.45 minutes.

It looks more like Debaitor than 28... like a HW debaitor. Why did you have to stack the CB in the two blacks? Don't you have enough weight for a higher chassis?

How does it do against other HS?
