Motor's on ME's?

No, no no.

Get those motors INSIDE the chassis.

I have to disagree with this. Flippers dispose of their opponents quickly, so the exposed-ness of the BSG's isn't so much of a worry. Protecting them would mean a larger, heavier chassis, and more of a target for the opponents to hit. What I would be concerned about is the relatively weak flipper panels, I would ideally try to get 40cm Angled Titanium sheets on it, or possibly 80cm Titanium sheets for a little more height.

Marketing is NOT about finding out what the customer wants to buy, it's about convincing the customer into buying what YOU want them to buy. Even I know that.

To AI that particular robot, you first need to name your controls "Forward" - for forwards and backwards movement, "LeftRight" - for turning, and "Spin" for the weaponry. You don't need the smartzone there, that's used for weapons that fire, such as popups, pokers, hammers and such.

Go to the AI folder, and create a new "Team??" folder, depending on how many you have. If the last one is Team15, then name it Team16. Add the .bot file to the Team folder, then go to the Teams.txt file, add a new Team (The Team16, the name, slogan, and a bunch of numbers. Just copy/paste it from another thing, but make sure to change the 0 1 2 3 4 5 line to just the 0.), head to the Bindings.py file, add a new team, and Copy/Paste a bindings line from another Vertical Spinner, then just change the name to the name of your robot, and that should be that.

Anyone know if the Gameboy SP takes the 'old style' cartridges used in the Gameboy/Gameboy Colour?
Yes it does, I can validate this. =D Super Mario Land 2 and Scrabble both work perfectly.

According to people I've been talking to, they seem to think that Dan Wheldon's death might bring in a new era of safety in Indycar events, in a similar fashion to how Ayrton Senna's death brought in new levels of safety in Formula One here in Europe. Personally, I hope that does happen, it's never an entertaining scenario if a sportsman is killed on the job.

Maybe it's due to the angles of the stuff, and the axles being so close to each other that it doesn't havok.

Wedges are - and I know this from experience - HIDEOUSLY difficult to get right. There is no hard and fast way of getting a good wedge, it's something to do with weight distribution, it's something to do with ground glearance, it's something to do with what components you use, there are just so many variables that it's impossible to make a perfect wedge, and very difficult to make a decently combat-efficient one.

As for the bot, I'd suggest shrinking the chassis width-ways, and raising some of the ants up to mount them on top of one another. That'll save you a bit of weight for stronger flipper panels, plus shrinking the gap in the middle.

Malwarebytes is a seriously useful piece of kit, in my view.

On an unrelated note, I've just been watching a program by Marcus Du Sautoy (He's excellent) about the experiment at OPERA that found neutrinos travelling faster than the speed of light. Was very interesting indeed.

Just delete C:/Windows/system 32. That should fix the problem.
I see what you did there. =D Enjoy your expensive paperweight.

That looks okay. With all those flipper segments, though, I can't help feeling it looks a little bit messy. It's grey, grey, and some more grey. Maybe a splash of colour would help. =)

Wakkydude had a similar feeling just before he left again. He claimed the community was "elitist", and while that might have been a little bit of hyperbole, there may have been some truth behind it. There's a lot of "listen to how to improve" going on, and if people just showcase the bots they build for fun, that might be a bit less of an intimidating environment for a newbie to enter into.

I think you might be correct on that one. If a bot is posted in a showcase, then usually you get tips on how to make it more comat efficient, or how to make it more aesthetically pleasing if it's an IRL bot. I can't see any reason why she would post bots if she doesn't want that.

Y'know, for a relative newcomer, you do seem to have a good deal of reasoning and rationality. I like you. =)
