My sister was watching Ace of Cakes the other day. They were driving to Kansas, and it looked like there was a tornado on the horizon. So I said "They should make them a funnel cake"

I used Chicken motors to power the discs, because I couldn't get any of the big motors to fit.  But you could probably pull it off with Piglets if you don't mind having an underpowered weapon.
Well i just used flat motors, how did you get the disks at that angle and that far down though? Mine are too far up ATM because I'm putting them on baseplate anchors.

I attached a 90-60 flippermaker to an inverted 90-degree baseplate extender.

If there are extra spaces, can I enter more than one event?  I want to use both King of Diamonds and Conquering Clown

Can I send Spartacus even though the helmet uses an AI component?

So do I send a different bot for each event?

Won't "transparency=1" make it invisible in the botlab as well?

I don't have time to do the rundown for everyone, but I'll give my thoughts on a few:

Dark Pounder, looks more or less the same as the winner of the UK vs US tournament, those drop skirts should give it the edge here too.  Mr. Self-Destruct also looks deadly with a nice big attack range.  Potential dark horses for me are 360 and Hvilpasa (sp?), should hold up well if they can keep their spinners pointed at the opponent.   I really like the skin jobs on Explosion and Purse, two of the purdiest robots in the competition if I do say so.

My bot Dr. Inferno Jr. has a tendency to fall over if it gets rammed too hard, but its ground clearance is good, so I think I stand a chance if my first match is against a wedge-shape.

I can't get the skirt hinges to be invisible outside the botlab, despite putting "alwaysvisible = false" into the txt file.  Help?

Yes, I'll probably start focusing on making more robots for it.

There's a wheel axle pointing downwards, with a DSL extender coming out of it.  Attached to that are the 2 drive motors.  The whole mechanism swivels when it turns, that's why the wheel looks lopsided in that pic.

I love making bots with little to no chassis.

General Support / How to make burst motors havok less?
« on: October 31, 2010, 04:41:15 PM »
I'm having a problem with the cheat motors in DSL; they havok whenever the filipper attached to the motor clamps down on something.  Are there any ways to fix tihs (I think I recall a conversation that certain types of flippers havok less?)

Ok here's the pic, with the floor cropped out.  For your first hint, I'll tell you that you're looking at the mystery 'bot from a brid's eye view.
