what's the point, it's not going to get any grip on the ground ??? plus this is just a weird hs

this "wheel"-base also look fairly wide exposed to me. you should hit the enemy with that weapon, not your "wheels".

Okay, drum HS only need enough traction to actually accelerate. That’s it. The less traction, the more reliable the WS is, and the less prone it is to getting stuck.

I’m considering armoring hte wheels. Thanks for that.
Just use regular wheels and make it a HS with actual controlled movement

If I don’t want it to be a WS, yes. I can just modify the controls, and switch the drums to wheels.

I would like to do a parsec tourney, not for combat, but for soccer! I will not be entering because then there will be no host advantage, this will be a 16 bot tourney with 4 groups, each group with a round robin format, and 2 bots from each group go to the final 8, which plays out like a single elimination tourney, and each "fight" will be judged by the amount of goals scored much like soccer, the build rules are as follows
DSL IRL
HW
Your bot must have no severely damaging/incapacitating active weapon (soccer isn't about killing/incapacitating your opponent)
Clusterbots are banned
Configbots are banned as well
All weapons except for flamethrowers and wedgelets are banned
Steel 10 is allowed
Jokebots are banned
BFE, and OBJRA2 are allowed
fight rules
-3 minute fights
-no pinning
-if someone gets high centered on stuff, do them a favor and push them back onto their wheels
Extra stuff
The arena used would be the DSL soccer arena

Finally something better as I got a bit of time when doing it. The HW version of Darwinian Predator Gen II. No internal shot or good pic because no time for that. 799.1 for main clamp config and 791.1 for flipper. 20kg counterweight on clamp, and 40 on flipper. Parts are alu for front plate and side parts, as well as top plate and rear part of bottom plate. Steel for front part of bottom plate and head. Features a srimech powered by a very small VDMA.
