Subaru? Engineering? I think we'll get along just fine.
My man! Good to see some new faces. This place looks to be buzzing with activity, lots of new people! good to see you man
This. It's been too long. :)
<3 Also cool to see you guys got the veteran's names. I still remember when you were all newbies. It's been too long. COTT 2? :3
It's in the plans, and I've got a computer that could handle it. Time is just a big question. Three weeks until the end of the semester, then a month, and then I'm off to summer camp to work for 3 months. So no computers. We'll see, but keep building them UHWs. They're cool as hell.

I'll make a purple Pikabob to christen the occasion. yooooo somebody whats up man
I missed you. You get Eagle yet? I'm still working on it :P
Oh hell yeah :D Finished it summer of 2012 before I left for college. Also, when you do finish it, make sure to send a letter to Mike Rowe. My parents found it online somewhere, and he sends you a humorous letter and an autographed picture. So that's pretty sweet. At least you got yellow, I've been waiting forever for some extra color
Somebody (hehehehe) get this man some color. It's been too long. oh god it's that avatar again
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
You know you love it Also life updates for me... 3 weeks from done with sophomore year of Mechanical Engineering at college, lost 50 pounds my freshman year which was sweet, and currently building a Subaru Forester into a 24 Hours of LeMons car with some friends. So I've been busy haha. Would you guys recommend DSL 3 standalone download? I know I saw it somewhere in a thread from Sage. Not sure what I'd build or do but hell it's something to play with.

Damn is that sexy.
And the trackbot is looking fine too. I'm always a fan of the tracks.

Whaaaaaaaat's Up guys? How's it going, how have you been, etc.
I've got the bug back to build something, so I probably will be downloading DSL 3.0 in the next couple days and trying some stuff.
Also, how do I become a Veteran instead of an AU? Because I've been around too long for this damn yellow name haha.

I'm pretty sure that irons (or any weapon for that matter) that are scraping along the ground cause no damage. So you may want to factor that into your design with what looks like the entire bottom rack resting on the ground.

It's been 5 years and a few minutes since the day I signed up here.
Yay.

I will be legitimately surprised if any of the robot breaks were actually the bot breaking and not just things programmed to let go after a few hits. It was pretty gimmicky, and obviously going for the Real Steel type of market.

TBH Nar AI was what pushed DSL building, not 123. I still think its good that we got NAR AI though. It was so much better than the stock DSL bots.

Because we need a place to reminisce about old times.
Anyone remember the original Pikachu/Spongebob fad?
I still have all those saved too. Pretty sure 2008 as a bit more populated. Look at the BBEANS 4 entry list. All were active besides Jules, mjrobots, Seastalker, FB, Botreactor, Silver, and Sammy. Still not huge, but a great bunch of people with a real interest in building. Those were DSL's best days, just look at how original and ranged the bot designs were, while still being quite good.

I absolutely cannot wait to see that race.
Also, they also removed the truck splitters and are running much different spring packages.

Happy to see Setrakian involved, but sad to see Battlebots devolved to "evil Roombas" and thinking that people don't still want it back.

It's really changed a lot since BBEANS 4, when I almost beat you (I'll never let it go). Welcome back

Pyscolone was around for a while tbh, but he hated the idiocy, which tbh has never subsided.

The best JP moments are the ones when he stopped yelling and pooping himself and actually commentated on the battle.
It did help the show though. His excitement was infective and he turned even some of the most boring battles into something watchable.

So I decided to test River of Pain 2 against its predecessor, to see how it does.

10 seconds in, it was chaos.

Its not very often you get to see an UHW VS punt another one around.

And we have a winner :D
The new one seems nicely stable. I like.
