Oddly enough, I was just thinking about upgrading my PC, which is roughly the same age...
I called up my computer guy and asked him what it would take. He told me that with the PC I was wanting to do the upgrade on was pretty much a lost cause.
IDE, single core processor, 512 mb of RAM tolerance... Yeah...
So he told me that he was currently working on a PC that sounded like what I was wanting to do to mine. Here's the specs...
- Windows XP or Vista (whatever I chose)
- 3 gb RAM
- 1.8 gH dual-core processor
- Nvidia GeForce graphics card
He told me $150 and it was mine.
I ended up with a very nice PC for a fairly decent price.
Moral: Sometimes you're better off to start out new...

This is high school we're talking about.
Okay, let's take an example.
My school all have a netbook each for school-work.
The year sevens (age 11-ish for you murricans) all have Halo 1 on their netbooks and play LAN parties.
Under law the school are not allowed to condone this and our ICT department will confiscate anyone who plays Halo, as it is a 16+.
Most schools in "Murrica" Don't provide a computer for the students to keep for school use. At my high school, we just had computer labs with desktop PCs that we were able to use when necessary.

I always wanted to go fishing, my Grandpa was going to take me but then he had his leg amputated and had some strokes. Then my dad said he would take me, then he sold my fishing rod. Don't actually know where I can go fishing either.

You're not missing much. It's not as much fun as it looks on TV. It's more of a acquired taste, in my opinion. You have to be excruciatingly patient, at times. I fish every once in a while an d every time I'm reminded of why I don't fish that often.

I have the green Halo edition Xbox. I didn't buy it on release, though. Found it for $40 at a flea market. It was covered in some awful skin.
