dont worry about your bots being "failiures" when you start a showcase. we'll guide you from making bots like this: to stuff like this: if i can improve like that, surely you will be able to in given time on the bot: you would really focus all of your weaponry to the front, 99% of bots are not ai'd to attack your rear, and the one ai file that does make it so it attacks your rear doesnt work iirc. that said if you just make your bot invertable instead of having a srimech you could have more weapons and thus be able to do more damage more stuff can be found here http://beetlebros.gametechmods.com/ra2techs.htm

if you go into the ai folder that has all the bots from the ai pack, team0 being the champions, team1 being runner ups etc, just copy/paste the bots into your robot designs folder and import them

Even though Mr. AS called Distortion boring. (Image removed from quote.) - granted, it WAS an AW, hah.
i dont remember this
BOTM September:
5- skin looks cool. bot itself however, is sh**
It was worse than boring!
oh yeah that bot i was mostly critiquing on efficiency for that since it was stock, and a plain ole wedge with a giganto chassis isnt exactly the most efficient.....

You should angle these maces.
the maces mesh protects them more than youd think, like on quark or sages tornado v2

the drive setup is just a sideways 20cm extender with a t connector on the other side ap it does ok against popups (it beat 321 blastoff, but that really isnt saying much) but it doesnt rape them like mega mole or any other regular 36hs does also yeah, weird glitchy sns called deep freeze, entirely set up off a tribar on a 302 servo. as shown in the second pic half the time in battle, it inverts its chassis making it pretty difficult to hit. its also a total glass cannon either completely destroying the opponent or itself. spins fast as for a static sns, and can sometimes 1hko 3 hpz drive plastic and 18 maces

use the other ap of the control board and put it as far back as possible, that might make it realistic.
its really not that bad of a first bot compared to some other peoples, stop putting yourself down

what if i power 8 servos on a bot with one ant battery, is that as realistic as "2 ants per spin"?

the AI aren't much of a challenge.
the ai are 125 kgs and below, not ~250 like you may think

*Challenge board on a much bigger scale (might even need it's on sub-section in tournaments). *You build a bot with the components you start with (different starter kits are available). *You send your bot to the host and tell them which path on the map you want to take. *They record the matches and post them. *There will be a virtual dice roll for components dropped by that opponent. This should be recorded and posted (the hat or another list shuffler is good for this). *The player then edits his/her bot with the component won. *Boss battle victories give you a larger weight limit.
We could have a topic to keep track of everyone's progress, for example:
*Bot name: SFTW *Bot type: Saw-bot *Bot level: 1 *location: Bridge of Doom *Components: 2x Reverse angle motor, 1x Chewblade, 2x Shiny hub wheel.
yeah thats probably too complex to last more than a day or two, simple things like tournaments (naryars tourney you were complaining about for example) tend to have a much greater chance of people caring than this system

I don't quite understand what this is.
i think its supposed to be one of those games with level ups and turn based gameplay and all that jazz you dont even need to code an entire game from scratch to make this...... .you could just mod earthbound/pokemon/final fantasy or something with ROM hacking tools which you can easily find of google

Why I am losing interest again:
*0 help on the new AW AI pack. *1 team for the GTM AI pack. *No feedback on the new RA2RPG boss set-up, barely any on the general topic. *12 views on the Robo Zone 2 final video. *My completed Robo Zone 2 tournament topic has almost 1000 less views then nary's 1 round so far tournament (roughly 2 hours vs 33 mins total video time).
ITT inf syndrome "im not appreciated enough for what ive done" and to answer your questions 1- more stock tournies and stock things and obligatory dsl 3 2- n/a 3- well my user profile says i spend most of my time in stock/dsl showcase 4- if it seems like an interesting match 5- cba 6- hummm lets see: sc4, bbeans ai (with some dl'd bots that i ai'd to test my bots against such as dark void 2, quasar 4, and copy/pasted bots from other ai packs like seism 16 from doomed bots, nuclear fallout from bttb etc, and some bots i ai'd from cb/fb/you and challenge bots), the ai'd bots from that old annihilator tourney i did, pys ai, inf ai, restocked 0.1 and the asai wip all on one copy of ra2 7- stock (i was addicted to dsl for some time but then i got bored and went back to good ole stock) and now i rarely touch my dsl copies 8- 1 (soon to be 2) tournaments, 1 team in ldai (meh), tournament entries, developing asai slowly but surely, some other shizz, a few challenge things hosted, and my stock showcase is on its 20th page now

you could probably use 2 blacks for 2 ddt and 4wd, not like popups need to last 3 mins anyway. with a whole 60+kg saved with that, youll have lots of weight left to upgrade to 6 razors per ddt and maybe a few other upgrades..... 2 more ramplates attached trough the wedge in addition to the 5 you already have? or stack 2 more RPs on the side if its possible? hmmmm, lots of possibilities
and rule of 7 stinks, but you could use a 40cm for the first few on the burst to make it longer
EDIT: when i first said extender protection i was referring to 20cm extenders, but now you could probably get blades with all the weight 2 blacks will get you

this is what rapidchain shouldve been......
and one snapper setup ? i think i may try this
so i tried it hecko virus bomb :) rapidchain III has 18 irons and isnt a AGOD'y pile of like II was, and has much faster weaponry than the original had. 6 casters (vs borg queens 5), 2wd HPZ drive (vs ztek drive), 1 snapper (2 snappers) 1 plow (no plow...) grey tribars ftw
