It's also interesting to see I'm not the only one who lives in a Cathedral City. Except I live in Lincoln-

Are you referencing me?
Because carlisle has a cathedral, goodness knows why though.

Oh yeah they're a powerfull design, I just mean that they're far from the most interesting design out there.

Some are not, some are very interesting... see Seism 13.
Oh yeah, isn't that the one that had wedges on linear actuators?

Still, generally they're not that interesting, i'd much rather have a septuplet hybrid anyday ;P

DO IT

On heavyweight. DSL. Realistic.
Septuplet hybrid ey?
Very well, I shall do as you wish...

Also, erm, we're surely VERY offtopic here, and you fueled it Nar!
For shame.

Unles TRIAS made this a hybrid only tournament...

Yay, sonic!!!!

Hmm, I think i'll try and learn sweep picking.
As boring and pointless as I find the technique in actual music, it's prrobably about time I atleast attempted to learn it.

Yeah, in an ideal world everybody would get equal education, but sadly, in a capitalist country atleast, that aint gonna happen.

One thing that does annoy me about schools nowadays is that it's all about getting the idiots a passable grade rather than getting everybodys best out of them.
The way the system is atm, it's the quantity of passes that matter to the school and the teachers rather than the quality of the grade.

It's not that tests are getting easier, it's that the systems been adapted to make everybody THINK that the latest generation is more intelligent.

As I posted that I was thinking about what a popup only tournament would be like..
..probably a wedge war unfortunately  :frown:

Or wait for 123STW to build an anti-popup popup that does not rely on wedginess to beat enemies.

On a different matter, I could make one right now.
Yes, I don't think it's that bad an idea because a lot of the more adventurous builders will probably try to build something innovative to avoid simple wedge vs wedge confrontations.

Still, pop ups are quite a dull to watch bot type overall.

Once again, it's all relative.
The biggest private school near where I live is often known as being pompus but rubbish (even the grade results were quite bad so i've heard) but my state school is very good.

Although, once again it depends on what people rank as important for a school.
I care little for my grades (I have impossible, non-academic ambition for when I leave school  ;)) and for me it's the people in my school that's important.

It's weird, despite how close I live to the scottish border I've only ever been there once.

And it looked like a rather nice place (I went to glasgow IIRC), contrary to what the t.v says...

Not many people will have been to both kinds to have a good knowledge of both really.

But it'll differ from school to school.
Some state schools suck, some private schools suck, some state schools are great, some private schools are great.

Yeah, I don't see a flipper only/no weapon tourney going down too well.

Limiting weapons? Could be a good idea, but you'd have to make it a decent type, and one that has great variations within it's type (like spinners only as Total Carnage)

And don't worry about the havok, it's emergencys fault most likely  ;)

Ah, I just self advertised slightly in this post! yay for me :)

As somebody (not somebody, but somebody else) said, it'sthe maturity that matters the most for tournament hosting.

Still, I have to admit I laughed at TRIAS's post count  :embarr

Also, why's this BBBE, surely it would be BBBB?

You may want to add some kind of unique rule or something, the way things work is that usually the most interesting tourneys get voted through and there are a lot of tourneys being discussed ATM.

Also, kinda off topic, but why are people starting to put a walker weight rule in?
From what I can tell nobody's created a proper working walker.

I know some pretty posh sounding people.
I'd rather sound posh anyway than have an accent.

Our teachers try to tell us to stop throwing snowballs but nobody listens really.
Most of the teachers don't care actually.

And I really like the cold, it's refreshing and feels nice.
Plus if it gets too cold for ya, you just put on another layer, there's only so few layers you can go down to if it's too hot...
