exposed stock-esque flamethrowers are irleither way, we are beginning to drift off-topic now. i think we should go back to talking about how trias can make his bot not be the worst-looking bot of the tourney

4 6 ants for 4WD Mags and a dual perm ? not irl.
I've been seeing a fair bit of discussion about whether or not a particular battery setup is IRL and thought this would be the place to weigh in on it-
In Nyx, I use a 1lb battery to power 3 fairly powerful motors in a 30lb robot, though one is intermittent use.
that works out to 3.333% of the weight of the robot being battery. In the case of a RA2 LW, that means roughly 8.33lbs should be battery for an equivalent drive/weapon system, which in the case of Nyx, has enough battery for two full matches before needing a recharge while using the equivalent of 1.3 ants for the whole system.
In the case of Moros, I use ~2lbs of batteries, so 16.5lbs for two drive motors and 1 weapon motor, however in this case as well, I have far more battery than I need in Moros, but even then, it would still only use the equivalent of 2.5 ants for three motors.
Real world battery technology has blown right by the "capacity" ratings in DSL, and I think if you really want to set hard "capacity" rules, it should be more weight percentage based than number of cell based. If a real world robot is using more than about 5% of their weight for batteries most of the time they've either got an insane weapon system or old battery technology.
if my calculations are correct this bot is using about 4.9% of its weight on batteries, it should be able to work irl

@awsum the wheels on axel mounts are there to prevent the flipper segments from getting damaged over time. (is this normal?)
no you see, ra2 functions nothing like real life. they will probably get torn off by the other bots weapons before they get damaged a significant amount by the floor edit- just get rid of the axle+wheel and replace it with stronger stabilizers if they fall off too fast for whatever reason

wheels on axle mounts are a waste of weight

Those things do look great. I can see some pretty heavy inspiration from other bots, though, namely Tsunami and Mortis, maybe some Toe Crusher in there as well.
what hes trying to say is that almost all of these are clones of real life robots the drawings themselfs are well drawn, but most of them lack originality

Now normally I wouldn't comment on these, but just out of curiosity- (Image removed from quote.) I wonder what's so bad about that?

the wedges are alright, haven't tested them against quasar 4 or S16 yet but they seem to be around dolsa II level. and the wheels seem to be fine since they dont lift the rear off the ground.
the battery does start to run low halfway through the battle though, even though gutripper battles dont tend to last too long.

Do you have any of the stock teams in IRL form? It'd be cool if you can get like 1 or 2 IRLified stock teams in there
i was actually working on this for a while (back when ppl thought my bots were actually irl and everything i built wasnt "substandard dsl"), i have a few of the bots made and skinned if an idea like this does go through and i could submit them for review EDIT: i think i have a lw mw hw and 3 other bots made to make a team out of it, i may send it to either replace my current team or as a new team altogether
