I think it has a square collision mesh, or something along those lines. Might do reasonably well at punting, but not as much as a bar or something.

The gradient gradually increases as you ascend, but it averages out as one in seven. Which is less than 13 degrees. So not too bad.

Very nice looking bot there. Not certain about the robustness of the flipper, with the panels as such, but it should do alright.

Looks very nice indeed. Shame about the lack of transparency, but never mind. Maybe you could add the rivets on the back panels, just as an added little touch.

That looks alright, but it's going to havok until Tuesday. I reckon you could come up with a more stable setup, that might make it a bit better.

You could use heavy plows, for the enormous Fracture value. That'd make them difficult to rip off.

Then if the Disc goes, the motor goes. Plus the motor has around twice the HP of the disc. Personally, I'd use Tite sheets instead of DSL bars for stabilisers, that should free up some more weight to use.

I reckon if it was all in rust, it would look excellent. But that's just me, I gave Vertigo the same advice and was resoundly ignored. I think the scrawled "SMASH" should probably stay, though, gives it a certain edginess. 3436

That's the bother, though, you're always going to get disagreement on a decision, the Judge Burst one has raged on for a while. The standard DSL burst motors - as GF93 has said - aren't terribly powerful, in fairness, and it is difficult to implement a decent one without a large and bulky chassis, much like with Taur IV. Taur 2 was, in my mind, a better robot aesthetics-wise, but it was let down by its complete inability to flip anything. Once I replaced the Small JX with a Judge Burst, it was a much better machine. Though I don't necessarily want people spamming them to make a ridiculously overpowered flipper, that wouldn't be realistic at all. If you take a look at Vertigo's Explosion, that's a prime candidate for a Judge Burst flipper. But it would only need the one to get its kick.
And yes, I would be fine with moving this to signups. No point in delaying it by one day just so I can get my dad's 50th birthday party out of the way. ![]() 3437

Besides, flippers in enclosed arenas suck, Naryar. You even said so yourself, so there would be no incentive to use them.
![]() I reckon Judge Bursts should be allowed, but in moderation. One Judge Burst is easily enough to lift a Middleweight, so there's no need to do what GRW did in RW3 and have THREE Judge Bursts on a Middleweight. That would just be absurdly overpowered. One Judge Burst for LW and MW, two for the HW and SHW divisions. I reckon that seems reasonable. 3439

Mum's been drinking again, and is now listening to music a bit too loudly. Choice of bands include R.E.M., Pearl Jam, Anthrax, Nirvana, Joe Satriani.

Pincushion looks very nice indeed. I take it it's a flipper? If so, it could probably do with something on the front to help it get under opponents a little better.
Championship belt looks alright. Probably the best you could do with DSL components. If it could spin, then that'd be fantastic. |
