Same with me, this is my first DSL tournament.

LW: If my AI can keep hitting the side/exposed front of Wild Boar, knock its flipper off and not get pushed around too much I'll definitely win. Voltergeist doesn't look that much of a threat either.
MW: Hmm, a bit iffy on SoJ because it looks so similar. If Massimo will let me choose the configuration and I go with the scoop, it'll be a flipfest. If I go with the drum, it will be a lot closer but I have the potential to KO him.
HW: Wow, a bye AND a first round against (what should be) the easiest to KO first opponent? I'll make the QFs easy as long as my AI knows what it's doing. After that, I'm pretty much screwed but who cares? I'll be seeded.

If Voltergeist can keep getting under Sliced, it could win by Judge's Decision due to it's Judge Burst steel flipper.  If everything goes right Sliced is going to get tossed around the Battlebox like a yacht in a hurricane.

OK, as expected HW and SHW brackets don't seem very hard.

MW... not sure.

You never know about RA2 Tournaments.  One tourney you dominate the competition, the next you go out in the first round.

LW: Whoever wins the fight between the fight between Coolrunner's Wild Boar and AlexGR's Sliced will be fighting Voltergeist in the next round.

MW: Enforcer vs Rob Collin's Clerisy.

If Enforcer can get it's flipper under one of Clerisy's front stabilizers, it may be able to flip it onto it's back.  After that it will face Plazmic's bot if it is allowed to compete.

HW: Death Warrant vs MassimoV's Predator.

Look's like I'm fighting the tournament host in the first round.  If Death Warrant can get under Predator and flip it, it could stand a shot at winning this fight.  After this round if it wins, it will be fighting Awesumsauce's Radical One which should be an easy KO.

I'll be happy if one of my robots advances past it's first fight, but if they get turned to scrap metal instead, so be it.  This is Battlebots after all.

Should be interesting if mine and Awesumsauce's middleweights ever face-off.   I just hope Enforcer never encounters Lightning S.'s Toxic Wound or we may see a repeat performance of this fight.

Fighting flippers in an enclosed arena.....

From what SHIELD has told me, Stag Beetle is like a turtle on it's back when flipped.  I just hope Enforcer doesn't try to take on Mantis or we might see a repeat of  this fight.

Stag Beetle still has it's back wheels touching the ground. It won't be as fast when turning, but it can ram a wall and self right.

Also I've noticed you're still using the standard paint in dsl.  If you want to give Mantis and Stag Beetle custom paint jobs, just export their templates in the paint shop, exit the game, go to custom textures, and select one of them to edit using your preferred picture editing software, whether that be Microsoft Paint or something else.

i think it would be better if you got a perm 80 instead of the twmr, perhaps you could go down to plastic 5 too

That's what the motor was, but no matter how I tried I couldn't keep the blade from cutting through the motor.  Shrapnel II however, is a vertical bar spinner and does use a Perm 80.

my finalized hw and shw for BB6.

(Image removed from quote.)

to the right is the hw Radical One, 4 NPC fast, medium piston, and Ti 10 (couldnt put enough useless bullsh** on it) has doohickeys on the piston to make it look like the sides of the pistons are actually seperate pistons firing the same weapon
(Image removed from quote.)

to the left is the shw M A S H E E N, 4 twm drive motors, 2 judge bursts and Ti 5 (has tough external armor, making it more durable than radical one). if you look closely you can see a little hexplate guy driving it with his medium beater bar arms

If there was ever a DSL Twisted Metal tournament, MASHEEN could easily pass as Mr. Slam.

Finally was able to make Shrapnel 1 IRL, but it was at the expense of weapon power.  It is now using a TWM3 R weapon motor.  However, the upside is it is now using Titanium 5 armor.

Both Shrapnel robots are now available on the BotExchange.

Needs a clown head on the top.

If I only knew how to do that in RA2.

"Three months in the nut house.  It was the longest I'd ever been confined" - Sweet Tooth
That is the name of the latest monstrosity to roll out of the garage.  Sweet Tooth in Twisted Metal is essentially the mascot of the Twisted Metal series, usually depicted as a beat up white with pink polka-dots ice cream truck driven by an insane clown.  This Sweet Tooth is somewhat based off the most recent version as it's rammer set up resembles the front of the truck.  This robot doesn't have any frozen treats on board either, but instead a pair of flamethrowers meant to fry any robots unfortunate enough to be caught in Sweet Tooth's path.  Armor is 5 Plastic and drive train is a 4WD system of E-Tek drive motors.

The truck and driver this robot is based upon

My latest Twisted Metal based creation to roll out of the garage, Vermin.  In Twisted Metal, Vermin is a yellow rodent extermination van.  In this case, Vermin was just built for fun and is not meant to be all that competitive.  Vermin's design is based off of Rammstein from Battlebots and just like the Super Heavyweight, uses a pneumatic spike as a main weapon.  Armor is 5 Titanium and uses a 4WD system powered by TMW3 drive motors.  When the right way up, Vermin has a low ground clearance, but when flipped, it loses that advantage.

Vermin's namesake

I'm worried about the new JIGSAW s'reach problem low profiled bots like the Pimkin Dispenser or bots with sloped sides like squared will be a pain unless i bounce off the front and hit the top of my opponent (which SHALL happen if i fight sylandro with his NPCF drive)

And Cyclonic Destruction s'invertibility issues (only 2 wheels touch the floor when inverted) and his Tit 1 armor could be his downfall

Anyways, good luck to everyone and let's hope for good fights

Not sure what Jigsaw may do if it gets put up against a flipper such as my bot Voltergeist, Coolrunner's Wild Boar, or Redline's Madd.

Some of the lightweights I can compare to the real life equivalents of them

Madd - Gamma Raptor

Sliced - Herr Gepoünden

CRM-114 - Ziggo

Wild Boar - Hexy Jr.

Hades - The Crusher

Formula 7 - Wireless Wonder

Wonder Wasp - Hammerhead

Pikmin Dispenser - Death By Monkeys

Should be an interesting fight if HA's and Naryar's Heavyweights ever have a face-off.

Ha, it kind of helps my LW and HW are expies x) (Madd = Vladinator, Shard = Splinter)

I'm liking what I am seeing. Should be an excellent tournament.

Madd looks more like Alpha/Beta/Gamma Raptor to me.

Surprised there's so many VS in the lightweight catagory.  Should be a fun fight if my LW faces another flipper.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but you will more than likely have to remove those Bob flamethrowers as MassimoV stated in his rules that those are not allowed.  Otherwise I can see this one winning the SHW division.

Pretty sure Wonder Wasp takes the title of smallest bot in the tourney.

So far Voltergeist is the only flipper I've seen in the lightweight division.
